Ok well I tried to take your guys advice and make this sig better. I didnt make the backround more abstract though because I didn't have enough time.

Just compared it to the old one, and both of you were right, raising the face and adding a full border made it look much better. ^__^ |

Aha! I found you dave.
Wow, you've got a ton of sigs here dave. You probably have like 10x more sigs than I did when I used GIMP. They look really neat.
One big thing though, save your banners as PNG rather than JPEG or GIF because GIF limits color and quality is usually bad. PNG takes up more space though if there are limits to sigs and stuff though. Example, your pop-out sigs would look alot better if saved as PNG. Heres one from way back when I used GIMP: http://i115.photobucket.com/albums/n310/djsirrealism/newbannersrtrstartsdone.png
So yeah, no jagged edges when you save as PNG.
Oh, i forgot. If youre doing animation, you pretty much have to save it as a GIF unless some forums support flash.
Anyways, great job on the sigs you have now! _________________ [IMG:400:135:eb9f21048c]http://i115.photobucket.com/albums/n310/djsirrealism/scsig.png[/img:eb9f21048c] |

YOOO Sinclaire!! XD
U finally found my sig thread!
hahah well Welcome to AS forum! ^^
Yup yup I have been doing this since lets see around January
So yea I guess I do have alot now >,<
edit:
about the PNG thing yea I would but some of the forums I go to have a limit on how much a sig should have, other than that I would probably save it as that. =D _________________ (\__/)

PNG isn't really all that much bigger.
My current sig (PNG) is 68kb and your current sig (JPG) is 69kb and my sig is bigger than yours. Hmm....PNG would actually save you space. Ok, there is no downside to PNG. _________________ [IMG:400:135:eb9f21048c]http://i115.photobucket.com/albums/n310/djsirrealism/scsig.png[/img:eb9f21048c] |

Sinclaire>> yea maybe but if I compare using Jpg and Png everytime i save it as PNG it shoots up like 500kb or more.
Unless im saving it at full quality or something then I guess if I lower that it might be at a good size.
edit:
okay lets compare this is jpg format
[IMG:372:150:e78b3c1469]http://i140.photobucket.com/albums/r8/bigdave_89/Created%20Banners/Saber-sig-1.jpg[/img:e78b3c1469]
this is png
[IMG:397:160:e78b3c1469]http://i140.photobucket.com/albums/r8/bigdave_89/Created%20Banners/Saber-sig.png[/img:e78b3c1469]
of course the png has better resolution and stuff but look at the size ;__;
maybe ur sigs size isn't big cuz u don't do much to it and nothing much is added but my sigs i put like tons of effects and layers so thats probably why mine turn out so big T__T _________________ (\__/)

Ohh, trust me, I probably have tons more layers in my sig than you do.
Anyways, its not how many layers and stuff you have, its the finished product that matters and the colors/shades/size you have.
I dunno, maybe the compression on GIMP is messed up?
Either way, it looks like this forum doesnt have any kind of size limit. So far, ive only seen one forum with any kind of size (in bytes) limit and ive been to a ton of forums. _________________ [IMG:400:135:eb9f21048c]http://i115.photobucket.com/albums/n310/djsirrealism/scsig.png[/img:eb9f21048c] |

Okay still it turns out pretty big either way T,T
i mean I tried many things to get the size down but no dice......
I mean changing the image size can get it down like 1 or 2 kb but nothing more and since its 126kb i highly doubt that I can make it any more smaller.
U know what I figured out the compression for png pics when saving in GIMP is used to make the image smaller. SO if i used the max compression it gets the smallest size but still sigs too big.
o and here is a better version of the sig, some ppl in my other forum gave me some tips on how to make it look better.

In the end, it doesn't matter whether a sig is 20kb or 80kb. The only thing that'll matter to people is the resolution.
You would make a rotating sig by tweening multiple pictures in ImageReady and looping it. _________________ [IMG:400:135:eb9f21048c]http://i115.photobucket.com/albums/n310/djsirrealism/scsig.png[/img:eb9f21048c] |
