I Know that making different shapes is better and all but my program just has a rectangle tool and a circle tool so

well apparently those are the only ones that i have, i tried to salvage some of my files from the hard drive of my old comp and well it's not going so well. It sucks i lost everything that i made up to that point. well anyhow i just have to make more sigs

so dave, just add a drop shadow to it but make sure that you change the drop shadow settings so it doesn't resize the image. also you should spread out your shadow a bit so then it'll seem like its coming out of the page

Think kimmie-chan means use a other anime render in background. So far almost every signature has the same anime character in forground and a faded out in the background but larger or different size. But incase she isn't i am thinking that.

The edges on this one are a bit jagged You should turn Anti-alias on.
And just curious. But what is the reason for you to use GIMP instead of Photoshop?

well for the latest version of photoshop you need to have Service Pack 2 if you have Windows XP. I'm not sure about the other ops but when i tried to use them i couldn't because i'm not meeting their requirements

I think I haven't been going all out when it came down to like blending and making the bg look good. I will try and have a different BG scheme in the next one! and I took out the same render in the pic ^^ V XD

and I use GIMP instead of PS cuz it came with my OS and I don't use WIN OS right now. even if I did its the oldest version u could think of. --_____--

yea I know I have to get a new comp. but for now this is the only thing I can use. Very Happy

Mmm seems just as notible if not even more. No idea how GIMP works but in Photoshop AA on and you get really nice and smooth edges.

And i would also suggest to make the anime render blend in with the background more. Make it look more like a whole. If you need a example of what i mean i can link you a sig. The option to make the Anime render blend in BG better is feather in photoshop. Perhaps there is a similair one in GIMP.

Should you ever get a rig that can handle Photoshop i know a really good site for Signature Tutorials. Atleast that's where i been learning of. But all in all you made alot of progress compare to your early works.

btw photoshop works on a P4 with 1.7ghz! and 768ram! i use to work on that. It's about 5-6 year old now. I can hardly imagine someone still working on a even older machine.

And Skabib you can just get XP install cd's with SP integrated. Theres like a new release of the cd every month with latest patches included. And... well sort of everything is free on the internet. I even got the cd and used my own OEM key on it. Works like a charm.

(incase i shouldn't of said this just drop me a msg and il remove this. But i thought since we show torrents to Anime already this isn't to much of a prob)

This is one hell of a imba site for Signature tutorials!

And for the feather thing. This is with Feather radius 3. Making the Anime render blend in more with the background.

Without the feather. It's not to much different and you probably wouldn't even noticed it if i didnt said anything. But it looks less natural with the background than the first one. The edges of Saber looks really hard, while on the first one there better blended in. Just look at saber hair and shoulders.

The first one has feather radius of 3, but depending on the size or render you can use less or more.

..... if i look at the 2 pics now.. i feel a bit silly for noticing things like that.... "hides"
