Wel ive been getting this just recently when i first start the comp my screen goes to a purple tint as soon as i log into my comp and flickers back and forth between regular and purple tint i was just wondering if this is a sign of anything >.> as most of the people that have helped me may know my comp is about 6 years old however the Graphics card is only id have to say .5 to 1 year old >.> _________________ Want advice DONT WORK AT WALMART... sounds like you've got a cable lose. check the one connecting your monitor to your comp. _________________

Sadly i have every thing connected as it should be the card is fastened into place and the cable is screwed down as far as possible. the problem only occurs on startup and after i start to use programs it stops >.> _________________ Want advice DONT WORK AT WALMART... Theres your freebie... |

Faulty cable may cause the purple tint to appear. You may consider changing the cable. _________________

if it only happens during startup, my advice as of now would be to just live with it ^^;; out of curiosity, what kind of monitor do you have? sounds pretty old to still have an embedded cable. if you're still rocking an old-school CRT, you might think about getting a new monitor, if only for the sake of not being square xD. and all the goodies to be had with flat-screens, panels, and plasma, too =P. _________________
