Except it's by studio GAINAX(Evangelion, Kare Kano, FLCL) and directed by the guy who did Dead Leaves and was behind the craziest moments in FLCL. This will most likely be my favorite of the season unless Kyoto Animation has some series starting this season I'm unaware of...in which case Gurren-Lagann has some competition.
[EDIT]It seems KyoAni's Lucky Star anime is a Spring anime as well. Now I have two anime's I'm obligated to watch being a fanboy of both studios... |

awesome gainax does it again!
it looks like another sweet modernized super robot anime, good comedy with a bunch of fanservice and kiddie like components(some familiarity with certain aspects of the classic animes watched during childhood albeit exaggerated to make things more 'fun' yet only older viewers might get the charm and novelty of it,), uhumm.. yip. goodie

Haha a new mecha series by GAINAX full of phallic symbolisms. So many mecha series this season... not that it's a bad thing, but where are all the comedy and girls?

| I was thinking, that if this didn't have the character Kamina in it, it might actually be worth watching. With a lame character like him in it, its going to be hard for me to sit through this. The fanservice was nice though |

No way, Kamina was way cool. He's hot-blooded and chases ladies around. The main character kid could learn a thing or two from a guy like that.

Ah! That explains it! When I was watching, I kept thinking that this reminded me of FLCL a lot.
Anyway, it looks decent, but I'm still not sure if I'll be following it for the whole season. I'll give it a few more episodes though. |

I hate that character type. Strong, loud, basically all talk. Yelling lame stuff like who do you think you are messing with? Like they are gods personal crap. My own response to that kind of statement would be, an Idiot! Seriously, analyze the character for a moment. Here is this strong, tough character, who basically bosses around the people close to him. A leader. Now, does he have reasons for his leadership? What experiences qualify him to make his statements? To put it in different terms. The character sounds a lot like my 5 year old. While I love my kid, I don't love it when he mouths off. |

Hmmm, but he's not really there to be liked, is he? He's there because he's funny. He's funny because he's stupid and he actually believes all the rubbish he spouts. He's funny because he's like your five year old...
Then again, maybe he's only funny if you haven't experienced parenting a five year old yourself.  |

ROFL... As soon as I saw Yoko I said to myself "Ok, I'm watching this show".
Anyway, looks like its gonna be a fun ride. Plenty of comedy and wacky design to go 'round. Reminds me a lot of FLCL, but since its made by some of the same people that is hardly surprising.

uhumm to that
the robot itself is pretty funny, notice that it changes its facial expression a lot the entire time.. it was also funny when he dug it up i thought for sure there was a body beneath it, but then it suddenly grew arms and legs around its face.
