I was begining to think I was the only one on this board that cared about the series. I watched episode 8 off crunchyroll.

this show is definately shaping up to be one of the best this season imo. next to romeo x juliet and darker than black. woo

Simon, i think i read somewhere he was 14, surpisingly, always thought he looked like 12...
anyway, i really liked ep 8, i thought the series might of been on the down from the 2 episodes before, but 8 has brought back my faith in this series again  |

dang.. you're right. i went to wikipedia and they had it on there. yoko is same age as simon. and here i kept on thinking to myself "poor simon, she's too old for him." woo i was so wrong. haha |

I also just noticed that this anime is going to have 26 episodes 
...And Kamina died in the 8th episode?!?!?  He didn't even last half way...

goddam it! why?!?!?!
those two finally hit it off too, man you know how much that sucks? i was actually quite happy that she actually got the courage to do something u know and he responded and blast it its all gone!
so anyway, you guys were saying that the dude in the first ep was simon? i took that guy for kamina's dad, wow was i off!

Episode 8 was amazing. I did not expect this to happen, but this show is definitely moving up in my spring 07 rankings. I am so looking forward to the next episode.
I might be in the minority here but i will be very disappointed if Kamina is still alive. You just cant build all that emotion and then take it away

very true faust, it would be very horrible to the production if they did do that because it just goes against the tremendous conflicted feelings that the episode created.
that entire situation in ep 8 was just genius, i never would have thought they would do that considering the hype they built about it (the character; sry too lazy to use spoiler tags) and the climax of the relationship only to take it away. shear genius. if this doesn't get ppl hooked then i don't know what will

Spoiler for ep8 and Martian Successor Nadesico:
I think the death of Kamina can be compared to the death of Gai from Martian Successor Nadesico. Gai was also a best friend of the main character who had similar character to Kamina. After losing Gai, the main character began to change in his personality and this is pretty much what would happen with Simon from now on. Everytime when he's in trouble, he'll be thinking "what would Kamina have done?".

well to me it feels like macross but I guess that will work to although I havent seen nadesico yet. |
