and for a sec there i thought for sure they were gonna do a mai otome parody with the meido outfit... lol never did i expect it would be a saint seiya/shurato/ronin warriors(take ur pick^^") fugly mystic armor thing

well i thought it would be cuter to see a "MATERIALIZE" transformation sequence of hayate Twisted Evil

i'll say upfront that i thoroughly enjoyed episode 39.

hayate has always been, in my eyes, a comedy that relies heavily on parody and farce as one of its major sources. 39 was a complete realization of that in epic fanfare and mindless dialogue. the animation was spectacular and you could see that the production staff had thought this through completely before going apeshit insane with the traps, action-sequences, and horrendously tasteless magic armor.

Seems like a second season has been green lit for Hayate. I'm personally glad, I really like the show. It's not the funniest anime around (though probably because I don't get a lot of the references) but it's a fun watch regardless.
