This all stemmed from a comic that used to run in a newspaper right? I'm guessing it's comparable to Peanuts comic in the U.S.? If it's run even half as long, then they should still have plenty of material. Seeing how they probably cover over 20 strips each episode though... it's hard to imagine a second season...
But... who knows? Maybe they've got a crapload more coming. They just need to be careful not to bore some of the less fanatical anime-watchers.
Serialized in Kadokawa Shoten's Comptiq magazine as a 4-Koma comic. Been going on for 3 years.
Heh, I found this funny in the wiki entry.
"The popularity of Lucky ☆ Star also brought many of its fans to the real life settings of the anime, beginning from April 2007.[9] The August issue of the Newtype magazine ran a feature on the various locales which the anime is based on,[10] including Konata's home in Satte, Saitama, Tsukasa and Kagami's home in Washimiya, Saitama, and the school in Kasukabe, Saitama.[1] The magazine also included directions on how to reach these places from the otaku hotspot Akihabara, which resulted in massive "pilgrimages" to these areas.[9] The most widely reported consequence of this is in the Washinomiya Shrine of Washimiya, where the Hiiragi sisters work as miko in the anime. Various Japanese news media reported that the shrine became a place teeming with photographers trying to replicate scenes from the anime, cosplayers wandering around,[10] and prayer plaques ridden with anime drawings and strange prayers like "Konata is my wife".[9] The locals were divided on the situation, with some suggesting that it is good for the shrine to have so many worshippers, and some being concerned about the town's security.[9]"

Lol, cosplaying in a shrine? Won't that be a bit disrespectful...

Hey in eps. 18 ending.......What the Kaorin's Theme came from? _________________ "HITSUZEN-A naturally foreordained event.

This anime is alsum. Just the opening is addicting. No real story line and all they do is go through life. I guess thats why it's seems so good cuz you can relate to it. Plus Lucky Channel is halirious. lol

anyone know why afk has been so slow this time? could it had stopped? dont tell me they're based in singapore?
looking back at a.f.k.'s history, they don't seem to stick around for the endings of the shows they start... especially when they pick up something new. Now that they've fallen 2 episodes behind, I think it's safe to say there's a big chance that they've quit Lucky Star.
UPDATE - I stand corrected... a.f.k. just released episode 20 this afternoon
