| yes..another problem...i cant seem to go on windows live messenger on my new computer...everytime i press sign in..the trubleshoot thingy comes out..then i went to check if windows live messenger was not working...so i signed in on my old computer and it worked fine... can any1 help pls... |

Nothing happens even after clicking Repair or are you able to sign in now? It could be just service down at that time, you can check by going this page - http://status.messenger.msn.com/Status.aspx
If not, there should some error messages when WLM fails to sign you in. Are you using Vista on the new pc or it's just the theme? What about your old pc, does it use Vista as well?

You need to delete one of the registry values inside regedit, but I forgot which one it is....
Let me explore around and get back to you. I have the same problem in the past and send an email to microsoft about the issue, but I have deleted the email.... Let me get back to you once I found the registry key.

Sorry for not replying earlier. Got a lot of things to do back home and to tell you the truth, I completely forgot about the problem!! Sorry!!! ~~~>_<~~~
But anyways, luckily, Himitsu comes to my aid on her white horse, dazzling my eyes with light of hope and freedom...... Sorry, just got the need to rant for a moment =P
Here is the solution:
1) Go to Start --> Run
2) Enter "regedit"
3) Go to the following key --> HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\MSNMessenger
4) Right click "Policies" folder and then choose "Export" and then choose any name and save it on your desktop. This step is necessary so that if something goes wrong, you can import the registry back.
5) Right click "Policies" folder again, but now choose "Delete"
Try this and it SHOULD work fine after you restart your PC.
Post here if it is not.....

is there a folder that contains the program on like programs/apps
cuz i wanna make a keyboard shortcut for it but cant seem to find it |
