Hmmm don't know Jailbat shana =_=..but then I missed a lot...darnitt..

haha, i meant jailbait in the sense that Shana is loli, and Ayano is slightly older, but i highly doubt fully legal =P.
the overall aloofness of Kazuma is a bit perplexing to me. he reminds me a lot of toshio umezawa from the kamigawa stories of magic the gathering. absolutely confident in his abilities, steady as rock nerves, and not one to go sticking his head where he doesnt want. ayano isnt quite the typecast tsundere, as she's appears pretty open with her friends and family. she has the haughty sheltered-princess attitude, but also has the power to back that up.

Oh my gawd I said something stupid!!! I'm gonna edit my post to save a bit of face XDDDD!!
just saw ep 2. ayano's apparent aloofness about the slaying of her kindsmen is really bugging me. ok, the show's targeted at a (slightly) younger audience, ok, she's still a teenage girl with massive power, ok, she's the future head of her clan. but two of her closer relatives were just slain in front of her, and all she cares about is showing up kazuma. maybe i'm reading this wrong, but that's just how i feel right now.
my opinion on kazuma has changed. this ep shows that he still holds a massive grudge, if not against the fire clan, at least against his father. he also has an inferiority complex of sorts, which clearly shows in his quasi-breakdown after defeating his father.
i'm loving the animation. while the character designs are fairly generaic, the animation is smooth and consistant. characters look solid and dont get that "floaty" look, where detail drops drastically and features kind of morph around, when the action picks up.
the story's feeling a bit weak right now. seems like this is just a small arc and after it is resolved, kazuma and the fire clan will come to an understanding and the rest of the series will be one big "kiss and make up" for him and ayano, which i guess would be fine just for some tsuntsun tomboy lovin ^^

Your good at reviews ddogt432 have you written some for other anime's?
ps:3 purrr There's gonna be another DollParty in japan and they will release more BJD characters from the anime Rozen Maiden XD it seems they've done it before. For some reason it completely got passed me that Rozen Maiden was an anime.

hehe, i'm not saying it's only for the young'ns to enjoy, just mostly =P. red-blooded, meat-eating 20yo male here, and i'm enjoying it...though i also collect figurines >_>;;
aw, you're too kind. my associates and peers around here are far better and prolific reviewers ^^
Story's rather direct right now.
Guy with grudge against family A suspected for killings done against them while family B is actually the real perpetrator after yet another longer and deeper grudge against them.
It seems to be leading little elsewhere, but apparently more revelations about Kazuma's past should get the development going a little more, especially for those who find Ayano really annoying right now. _________________ [IMG:350:100:b32e8a3e97]http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a103/FAITH01/tomoyo1.png[/img:b32e8a3e97]

i saw the first ep and i gotta say this anime has got massive potential, the storyline is definitely good, i just hope that the don't screw up the progression of the flashbacks, they're key to find out the mystery of this.
anyway as ddogt said, the girl kinda does have that sheltered attitude that could be a bit better, like they could have made her sorta like shana actually. i wonder how that would work out? _________________ ALL HAIL LELOUCH

Shana and Ayano are worlds apart, despite their similarity in temperament and flaming swords. So far Ayano seems pretty sure of herself (understandable, having not really venturing into the world and finding out that there are people around who are stronger than her i.e. Kazuma) while Shana concerns herself mostly with her mission. _________________ [IMG:350:100:b32e8a3e97]http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a103/FAITH01/tomoyo1.png[/img:b32e8a3e97]
not much happening in ep 3. the "bad guys" finally come out in the open, ayano's still a sheltered princess, kazuma still cares for his little brother.
i'm a little interested in who the girl in kazuma's flashbacks are, tho. she seems to have the same eyes as his brother, maybe a sister?
the characters still look pretty good in most shots, but the backgrounds are definately not as sharp. it almost seems like they were aiming for the pastel look, tho i could just be giving the animation studio undue credit where they were just lazy xD.

In regards to this...
The girl is actually Tsuorin, the name that came out of his mouth after the apparent defeat of Genma and no, she is not blood-related to him in any way.
