Debate: Whose the most powerful anime character and why?

For one thing, if the entire Interpol cant do anything, what makes you think that you can?

As for Lelouch, well his sister's been kidnapped like 2-3 times already, But ... unless you can teleport its kinda hard to grab her now.

As for killing Simon.....Not sure a death note would work on him. Pretty sure he can't die of natural causes, and trying clubing him from behind would end up with you getting his Drillhameha in your chest.

If it is the strongest character we're looking for, we have to consider how much a character relies on their weapons...

In my opinion, you shouldn't rate a characters strength or power based on his or her weapons, since anyone can use a weapon (unless the weapon can only be used by that character, and the weapon is nearly inseparable from the character or the character can summon the weapon or something like that).

So if we consider this, Yagami isn't that strong. He relies on the Death Note for all of his kills, he doesn't even own the thing; that death god (Ryuk?) owns it and lets Yagami borrow it.
Without the death note he isn't strong compared to other characters who have godlike speed, durability, powers, etc.

Simon too, though I haven't finished the whole Toppa Gurren series. From what I've seen, its the robot he controls that destroys things, not the actual character. Though it is Simon's feelings and whatnot that give the weapon strength, he himself is weak.

Is Simon able to use "Spiral power without the machine later in the show? I highly doubt it, but that show has crazy things happening all the time, so there is a chance...

Okay, I'm crushing the whole debate now. Hands down the strongest anime character has to be the 9 Tail Fox. There is an immense amount of chakra that you can't even penatrate. Not only that! No one knows the damn fox's name. All they can do is put him inside of someone weak and hope that he doesn't emerge.

Granted someone might say a Death God from Death Note could kill him but lets use non immortals. That is not fair because they are already dead. Their dead because they already lost to someone resulting in death so they can't be considered.

Oh... and just another character that could be considered from what I'm hearing about the Naruto manga is the Akutsuki leader (Is his name Pain?). From what my little brother was telling me about what he did to Jairya, he is sick.[spoiler] But that was just a consideration though. The full potiental of this characters power has yet to be determined. I really hope they finish Naruto up until the last Akutsuki leader is gone. Well I hope they do so in my life time.

Eh? Kinda broad... Hmm strongest... pikachu!!! lol. Well in the world of anime there is no stongest IMO cause even the strongest has their own weaknesses (beat the hell out of them).
Opinion purposes:
Light - (or any intellectual type)
Any Logia type char in One Piece (i envy their powers )
and many more... (that was hard)

In all fairness the Dbz characters tend to be overpowered and could quit possibly beat anyone in a fight, but I believe Lelouch from the anime Code Geass to be the strongest with his power of absolute obedience. He could simply order Goku to kill everyone including himself like he has done so many others.
