Debate: Whose the most powerful anime character and why?

Sasuke in his final form as curse seal LII would take Goku because he would be able to read everything he does with his Sharingan. Itachi too because if Goku makes eye contact, he's pretty much done for and I don't think Goku has Kenshin's ability to fight without being able to see his opponent.

But if we really want to get serious about this... Victor from Busou Renkin would also easily take Goku because he'll use his energy drain to suck the lifeforce out of him. haha...

The way Sharingan works, the more mastery you have with it, the further ahead of time you are able to predict. In another words, the faster you are, the less he is able to predict out of you (shown by Orochimaru). Therefore Goku's god like speed renders Sharingan's prediction ability useless. Oh, Goku doesnt use jutsu, so I guess it's useless after all.

Well, Genjutsu and Doujitsu of Itachi would get Goku (he IS stupid enough to be caught by it), but Mangekyo Sharingan has casting time, he would probably be blown apart by then. Well, Goku probably doest understand the pain from a sword anyway.

Haven seen Busou Renkin, so cant say anything.

I'll just maintain that Goku is imba, but it's because the story is senseless.

I guess its DBz. Just imagine the episodes they have made for it. Generations have passed and theres still there, even if they die, they can come back from the dead. And were talking about destroying planets here, PLANETS! But in reality and possibility is concerned, Light Yagami would be the best pick. He turns himself into a god, after receiving the Death Note.

You know that's what so great about Goku fighting with either Light or Zero because their fighting spirit/ki/energy is next to none at all. I doubt Goku would transform or as much as even try to fight someone who's only as strong as your average human or even weaker. So Light could just kill him off by asking for his name and Goku being who he is would give it, Light would write his name down and walk away. Moments later or even weeks later Goku would just die.
Zero would just turn him into his slave since you can't dissobey his geass so Goku would just do everything Zero tells him to even if it's to kill himself.

If anyone wants to bring in Vegeta into that mix, the same pretty much applies to him. For one he's too damn full of himself that he'd probably not even bother with Light or Zero and openly give them a chance to kick his ass.

Come on where's the discussion here. I went with what would be among the physical weakest characters to kill of the mighty Goku and no one has any arguments?

Well it's true Light could just write down the name and kill anyone, BUT that's sort of cheating. When we say powerful, we don't mean who has the most powerful guns. I see the note as a weapon, and I don't think that counts.

Geass can be potent power, but it has too much limitations. If the opponent was very far away and couldn't make eye contact, it'd probably fail. There are lots of ways he couldn't make eye contact.

Also, if we are measuring their powers, we'd have to assume they go all out. We can't count their personality to the measure and say Goku would give them a chance to strike first.

Obviously I'll disagree wouldn't be much of a debate otherwise.

When thinking of a character you need to consider their assets. Lights way of fighting is by using his brain and his note book that's his way of fighting. It never said anything in this topic about fighing barehanded considering Ichigo is mentioned and he fights with a sword. Even if it's part of his soul or whatever it's still a weapon so don't see why having a weapon is cheating. Those mentioned from Naruto are after all ninjas and have their ninja tools which again are weapons. The Death Note is his means to accomplish things but it's still his mind that's his biggest weapon.

It's true that the geass has limitations and isn't all powerful but the same thing goes for Zero as for Light. The geass is only his means to accomplish things while it's still his brain that's his biggest weapon. Besides why wouldn't Goku make eye contact with him? He doesn't know anything about the Geass so there's no point in him trying to avoid eye contact. And I doubt that Zero would try to use his geass on Goku while he's standing outside his reach. Like I said it's his mind and clearly Zero isn't that stupid.

And as for measuring their powers you think diffrently from me. Because obviously you have to take into acount their personlitys because it's what drives them and gives them strength and weaknesses. And we both know there's no way Goku would ever go all out against a normal human who's just as strong as your average man. Heck there's a bigger chance he'd just walk past them and not fight at all.
Now let's imagine they live in the same world and happen to cross paths. There's no reason for him to fight them while in the case of both Light and Zero, Goku would be in the way of creating a new empire. And I doubt Goku would start fighting Light or Zero because of their ambition simply because they don't kill innocent people neither do they try to destroy the world. Light kills criminals and Goku doesn't care because frankly he's killed crimminals as well so if he says something he's just a hypocrit. Zeros moto is to protect the weak and attack the strong that opposes the weak. No reason for him to attack him either.

I'm not saying Goku would give them a chance to hit them first because frankly neither Light or Zero would throw a punch. But he wouldn't fight them and if he'd fight he'd hardly even try. And that's what would be his downfall because we all know he would hold back 99,9999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999% of his power against a normal person.

The thing about pitting a shounen hero against another hero is that they wouldn't fight seriously unless they have a reason to. While Light and Zero aren't your typical hero as they'll do whatever they have to do in order to accomplish their goals and your typical shounen hero does indeed stand in the way. That's their strength and weakness, let a bad guy like Cell, Grimmjaw, Orochimaru etc fight against Light or Zero and they'd just kill them and not give a damn about it. Light and Zero are simply a shounen heroes worst enemies, because they're not bad but good, they're weak but they will use you and kill you without hesitation.

Besides my other choice still ownes everyone except maybe Zero because no one else stands a chance against him... Ryuk the death god from Death Note. But that'd be to easy of a choice as well but facts remains he'd win without any problems.

Like what I've said earlier, Light cannot defeat Goku, simply because Goku isn't human. Goku is an alien, and Death Note kills humans.

About making Light a slave, well, I guess Light is clever enough to find Zero's name someway or the another. Isn't that thw whole emphasis of Death Note? How he find L in the first place...

Sadly, I haven seen Code Geass, so can't compare it.

Goku's pretty weak when you consider how mind-numbingly stupid he is.

Whenever someone uses a trick stronger than 'punch in the face' he falls for it.

du5k: True he's an alien but from what I remember nowhere does it say that the death note only works on humans. After all the rule said the human whoes name is written in this notebook shall die. But it doesn't say it'll only work on humans & considering the fact that the manga isn't made to include aliens, I'll bet you everything I own that if the death note world was a intergalactic world with aliens on earth the death note would deffinate be able to kill each and everyone of them.

And about finding Zeros name it would be hard because for one he wears a helmet which will prevent him from finding out his name just from looking at his face, which he can't either way but I'm taking into account the ability to trade for the shinigami eyes. Which brings us to number two he won't know his face since he needs both his name and his face to be able to kill Zero. Next point would be the fact that Zero outside in his normal life uses a diffrent name than his real one so even if Light found his face the name wouldn't match so he wouldn't be able to kill him since that name is fake.

And when you think about it, it wasn't Light that found L but L that found Light. So if L never made contact Light might have never ever met L or even find him. That's something we don't know after all.

And even if Light is pretty cleaver and smart Zero is as well, like I said for both of these it's their minds that are their biggest weapons. But both can be arrogant and overconfident about how smart they are which is part of their weakness even though Zero is more aware about this weakness of underestimating his opponent therefor takes more precaution.
