You know, that's the kind of attitude I hate the most. You sound like the kind of guy who says "Nintendo is kiddy and Sony is mature". Well guess what ? It's not. Someone Mature enough won't diss a game because it has cartoony graphics. They won't diss a game because it has comical characters. A mature person will just enjoy a game if he's having fun with it. Not the kind of fun you get from, like, blowing people's head of and saying "liek this iz teh 1337, look at al teh blod lololol", they'll be able to play any kind of game and enjoy it.

You may say you're with Sony, but when's the last time Sony made a good game ? It's not which console it is, it's which one has the best third party support. Both companies have about the same support. Nintendo makes good games, but Sony hasn't done a single one in years. Star Ocean isn't done by Sony. Final Fantasy isn't done by Sony. Just because they're on the console doesn't mean the third-party will keep on making the games for that company.

I'll stop, now. It's 3:30am and I don't usually speak english so I have no idea if what I wrote makes sense. You should still be able to get the point, kid.

If you havn't noticed...nintendo's kinda dying and I do enjoy most of its games but the games for it's handheld are either really good (megaman battle network series1-3, advanced wars, fire emblem) or really bad (iono..barbie's adventure?). Sony however owns the console market for a good reason, they have a bigger variety of good games over bad games. Not saying that just because a game is cartoony its bad and gore and violence is good, nintendo just doesn't get the support that it used to get. Square enix havn't given the cube a good FF game, yes crystal chronicles is bad compared to te ones on ps2. Moreover, Xbox is slowly killing the cube along with ps2 (just look at the gamecube's price drop) and the psp...iono maybe i'll do good but nintendo's always been pretty good with handhelds. My opinion is taht i prefer sony, now go take a chill pill and go to sleep.

Well, after reading this I must say that you have some good points. But Nintendo isn't responsible for the bad games. Almost anyone could buy a GBA Developper's Kit ( heck, many Universities have one ) so whoever wants to make some cash just has to buy one and develop a game for it. The reason why the GB have more games is that the Developper's Kit cost less than consoles, and that it takes way less time to program the games. It's also the only handeld that's relatively good.

On a side note, I'm usually the one fighting on the "opinion" side, but I couldn't resist posting this when I saw this comment :

Looks like there's alot of little kids who still have faith in Nintendo

I have a DS and I have faith in Nintendo, but I agree that things aren't going great for them. Their console sales are lacking and they are looked upon as a kiddy company, yet they continue to survive because of their great first party games. Even so, they can't survive forever on Mario, Pokemon (god I haven't said that in a while), and Zelda. They will need stronger 3rd party exclusives and online support in the next generation.

The main problems I have with the DS are that the face buttons are small and I get a wierd pain in my hand while trying to play with the touch screen. Still, it's worth it for a portable version of Mario 64. I just hope more, and better, games come out soon.

Well, they could live on Mario and Zelda alone ( Pokémon is more like a fad than anything else... ) but all they're doing with them are Remakes and Rehashes...

And Nintendo said they know that Online-Play is getting more and more important these days, and that they'll move toward that direction, starting with the DS WiFi thing. I wouldn't be surprised if the Nintendo Revolution had a built-in Modem.

I got a DS for christmas, and I have been playing Super mario 64 DS for hours on end, I really like the fact that the system supports GBA games. Playing Fire emblem, Golden sun, and Poke-mon Fire red on a DS is alot smoother than running it on a GBA. I also really like the fact that the touch pad is going to be used ALOT. I would really love to see a new Poke-mono come out for the DS with 2D free roam world, and a 3D battle enviroment, that would rock.

I got one and its a really good system. The touchpad is awesome and the graphics are really sharp for something that small, however there are no really good games that are out for it right now. I'm waiting for games that can bring out it's full potential like Gundam Seed DS in February, overall its a good system.

I sorta agree with you Ganiam, Zelda, Mario, and even Pokemon (again, I can't believe I'm talking about Pokemon) continue to do well. However, Nintendo needs to focus on innovation over gimmicks (cough*eReader*cough) to sell their games and, I cannot stress this enough, they need an online strategy. Why do you think the Xbox has done so well here (besides Halo)? The DS shows they're trying, poorly mind you (100 feet? Just throw a note at the target person.), but trying and there's still promise for online head to head games in the future. As for the Revolution, who knows? I'm just saying that Nintendo needs to get with the times and stop trying to do these poorly designed plans (GBA link up) they've been doing recently.

yeah, I had a hard time finding a system near launch and when I did they only had six left. You can probably get one now since they shipped more, but some small communities might not have them yet.

Also, I don't hold much hope for the Gundam Seed DS game. It looks like a cash-in, but who knows?

I've had my DS for awhile (bought one early sunday morning a few weeks before exams started) and thoroughly satisfied with it thus far. For having only three games (Mario 64, Feel the Magic, and Metroid) i'm suprised how much play time i've alredy gotten out of it. having never played the original Mario 64, i can only say that its an awesome game on the DS and makes wide range of useage out of the DS' capabilites. Feel the Magic is a quirky and extremely fun game. for those who are waiting for WarioWare DS (i for one), i believe Feel the Magic (as well as the mini-games in Mario 64) provide an excellent foreshadowing to what we can expect.

What I don't like about the DS, actually, is the touch screen. Sometimes, if you get rather excited while playing a game, you could start to stab the screen a bit too hard, which would ruin the DS? I'm not sure, but too much touch screen could affect the lifespan of the screen?
