Dramatic poisons and antidotes

Within the last month or so, my fancination with anime has allowed me to watch and complete various genres of anime. Amidst all the anime I've watched, I've noticed that there are common trends of poisons and antidotes to story lines. My question to you is what are some similarities you see among anime and which ones do you like or dislike the most and why? What would you suggest as something that might keep your interest?


I find there is a trend of passive situations where if someone easily explained the situation, they could clear up alot of drama from happening. That's a poison that I'm starting to truly dislike among anime. And the antidote is usually the protagonist having to fight a best friend, defeating them in order to prove that there was a misunderstanding. What is up with that?!!!!!! Examples: Gundam Seed, Love Hina, Mai Hime, Mai Otome, Shuffle, Legend of Condor Hero...
