How you got into Anime...

My friend got me hooked on Gundam Wing in middle school and I never looked back.

I did see the older anime's like speedracer, voltron, and thundercats, but I never viewed them as anime, just another cartoon when I was a kid.

I'd say DBZ, but what Pioneer did to it, then Funimation, I guess you really couldn't count it as such.

It was those anime weeks they used to show on Scifi Channel. Before like about everyone else I saw Voltron, Robotech, Ronin Warriors (Samurai Troopers), even Sailor Moon.

I guess when I started getting serious is when I rented the first volume of Slayers.

...and I got a part time job. Wink

My friend got me hooked on Naruto and introduce me to animesuki.com and from there am a hardcore anime fan. Thats all I watch every day and night lol but I watched anime since I was in elementry really but didnt really got hooked on it until now

I guess I got back to Anime recently. I used to be a rabid anime fan when I was younger. Doraemon, Totoro, and Samurai Pizza Cats consumed my life, well they were in Cantonese dubs.

Friend let me borrow some anime. It was actually Trigun. After that we just borrowed all the anime that he had. after that it just kinda spawned into everything else.

My college's library had the entire VHS set of Evangelion for me to check out. Fortunately, and without anyone telling me, I watched the last two 'episodes' first; I saved a lot of heartache that way.

I got into anime because of a friend who really like them. At school, she always share her discoveries to me so by the time, I got curious more and more about it. So that's how I went into animes now.

my cousin worked at a really crappy gameing store and stole a vhs tape of Ranma 1/2. i was at his house and we watched it and i have been BUYING (or dloading..) anime ever since.
