How you got into Anime...

i got into anime when i see older like thunder cat then i wanted more cartoon with the story line that i like and the graphic is incredible when i found the cartoon i like i the realize the cartoon call anime since then i got hook up on anime

I started watching anime when AXN first showed it..at first it was english dubbed and i was thinking - cool -. However they reverted back to japanese dubs and i was pissed at first. WHAT WAS WRONG WITH THE ENGLISH ONES? Took me half a year to get over that...however i'm hooked on japanese animes now...learning japanese to understand them too x_X

I read the first guyver graphic novel. Since then I've been hooked.

I stole it from the gym locker room when I was in 7th grade. Someone just left it out and I was like "Mine!"

In 8th grade I saw a guy reading the 2nd novel and I was like Holy crap I know that. We started talking and it turned out that it was his book I stole. I apologized and gave it back. The next day he gave it back to me along with the 2nd one. We've been best friends ever since.

I'm 21 now and that was a long time ago.

Even though I hate to admit it, I was a big Pokemon fan (for me Pokemon died in 2001). I was intrigued by the art style so I started watching DBZ reruns and whatever was on Toonami. The anime that finally cemented my interest in anime was Cowboy Bebop on Adult Swim. Because of CB I looked up fansubs for Samurai Champloo and it brought me here. I still can't believe I used to watch Pokemon, jeez.

How i got into anime was my brother use to watch it alot and one day i just watch ranma with him and i just got hooked and that was back in `98 after that i either brought anime from the video stores, watch it on tv, or i would get it from kazaa

i think the way i got myself into anime was kinda wierd. i got a gba rom of flame of recca a few years back. as i tried to find out more about this game by searching in gamefaqs, a user noted that there was an anime for this game...and then i downloaded my very first episode of my first anime... Razz

i got into anime because all of my friends watched anime.one day i just borrow few eps of naruto and i just couldn't stop myself from watching anime afterwards. Razz

i got into anime when i became friends with someone who had NOTHING to do in his house except watch anime which i didn't know anything about.
We spent the whole day watching anime and from then i was hooked

some japanese kid had some anime he taped when he lived in japan and he should me and my cousins it. it think it was the guyver and slayers i think. from that moment i got addicted to anime like crack! hahahaha......
