How you got into Anime...

i started with DBZ and those episodes rocked! i started on the episodes where goku started training and had to come back to fight vegita and that bald dude. THose hooked me into anime.

I was into anime when I was around 11 or 12. I was already into anime without knowing it. I didn't know that Dragonball Z was considered an anime until later.

well it was quite a while until i saw my first anime (no clue that it was called that tho Smile

, just an other cartoon to me at the time) the first thing i every saw must of been dbz the verry first eps (some friend brought them to school on vhs) then a while of nothing until they showed them on normal tv (he had pay tv). after millions of reruns they concluded with the freeza saga and after like 3 reruns of that i realized they weren't going to show me anything new that was when i went looking for the rest of dbz and everything that followed. still didn't get hooked on it cuz i didn't know there where othere things like it. now give or take 2 years later i see some kid waching naruto on a LAN, i wach him a few minutes go mad and ask what it is called. 10 min later my DC++ is crammed with naruto eps and when i get home wach em all in just 2.5 day's of none stop naruto. when i get to the last ep panic strikes, O NO no more of these sweet sweet cartoons. after a few hours of sleep i get up and decide the find more, it was all i could think of. so i went from not knowing what the hell anime and manga where to an school network molesting, neibors wifi using manga and anime addict that has over 50gig anime atm in about 4 months.

thats all i have to say exept for GOD BLESS ANIME & MANGA may there be menney more years of goodness to come Smile

my first anime from way back when was appleseed i believe, the original version, as well as outlanders and dominion tank police. i was quite young, so it was quite an interesting experience to see violence, profanity, and sexual content in a cartoon. i knew of "japanimation" as we called it at the time, just had never gotten a good look, and since only watched it when i found it by chance on tv, until of course i locked onto DBZ, my gateway drug. now i watch quite a bit, almost anything i have access to, same with manga.

well I feel lame...or well rather I have never resepected Dragon Ball Z after I came back to America and actually "discovered" anime. I've been watching it for a long time if you go ahead and Include Transformers as an anime...But really I was probably more age appropriate for DBZ than others. I was watching DBZ when I was around 7. That's when I was living in Japan and it was on tv though not understandable...that really isn't necissary with dbz. Merchandise was everywhere for it and other kids liked it so that was my first. After that whole mess though...

hmm...let me think. I guess after all of that Ninja Scroll or Akira were my firsts. Not much after Evangelion came along and claimed position as my favorite...been there ever since.

When I was about 13, i watched DBZ a lot. I didn't even know this kind of animation was called 'anime'. Then I met somebody who was very much into anime and manga..I watched more anime and read more manga...and i loved it XD!

for me is just cartoon,
until I knew the true meanin of anime.
So it was actually a bundle of anime tht
I hv watch until I knew wht is anime
were introduce into anime by my cousin.

Its kinda late when i found out that the TV show I watch is anime.
It look good, story is good and i embrace it more and more and until now cannot get over it Cool

i got into anime when i see older like thunder cat then i wanted more cartoon with the story line that i like and the graphic is incredible when i found the cartoon i like i the realize the cartoon call anime since then i got hook up on anime
