Mmm the whipe its driver didn't made any sense. But if the problem persist even after reinstalling windows than the virus must be on a other partition or some hardware is broke that cause it. Eitherway if you want to completely erase your harddisk, just get Partition Magic or Use the Windows Install Cd to format the partitions.
I would suggest using Partition magic to format the whole harddisk. And than put new partitions and windows on it. _________________ [IMG:430:120:e3eaef3cc8]http://i150.photobucket.com/albums/s100/Sephi2K7/Signature/Yurisigv1b.jpg[/img:e3eaef3cc8] |

i reinstalled windows but the only way to completely destroy the virus is to over write everything i want to make it as clean as the day it was put into the comp >.< _________________ Want advice DONT WORK AT WALMART... Theres your freebie... |

Than you will have to format the whole harddisk. So every partition that is on the disk.
So just get partition magic and format all partition and install windows again on one of them. If the problem still persist it's either something in your hardware or a Virus which screwed the bios up. Though i only heard of them.. I don't even know for sure if those exist.
Eitherway sounds like a really nasty virus you caught. Good luck with removing it. _________________ [IMG:430:120:e3eaef3cc8]http://i150.photobucket.com/albums/s100/Sephi2K7/Signature/Yurisigv1b.jpg[/img:e3eaef3cc8] |

Crashing drive will cause slowness in the system. It is definite, because crashing drives significantly reduces read time due to the damage and that leads to the information not fast enough to be transmitted, hence the extreme slowness.
If that is the case, then you need another harddrive to replace your HDD, but that means all data inside your old HDD is gone. _________________

ok i have a quick question before i go to buy the drive i saw that there was a post about a bios virus

on this issue how would i get rid of that so i could possibly save the $100 going out to this new drive >.< _________________ Want advice DONT WORK AT WALMART... Theres your freebie... |

Now the problem is that we have no idea whether the virus screwed the BIOS up, and even if it did, virus will never reside inside BIOS. It will still reside inside your hard disk. If you want to confirm whether your BIOS screwed up, then try to reformat your old hdd and see whether you are able to boot up. If you are not able to, then purchase a new hdd.
In the end, if it is indeed your BIOS screwed up, you need to spend money anyways since now, you need to replace the motherboard instead of your hard disk. _________________

Then the only way if you want to save the speculation, then you might as well bring your PC to a IT tech shop and ask them to take a look. At least, they have the spare parts to do testing and able to pinpoint the problem easily. In the end, you do not have the parts to do the testing.
If you do not wish to spend money to try to replace the parts one by one to find out what the problem is, then the solution above is the only way to save cost.
But of course, that is entirely up to you. _________________

ok final resolution i called the company and talk to a tech specialist... from what he said a secter or spindle in the drive quit functioning cause the company put the most cost efficient drives in their machines........... well after a moment of talking with him he said that since i was not at fault he could hook me up with another drive in replacement for that 1 woohoo and i sweet talked the woman into giving me a $170 retail drive with 160Gigs for a cheap $30 Retail with 60Gigs quite a fair trade dont u think XXDD _________________ Want advice DONT WORK AT WALMART...
