so let them catch me ill say that i also support the anime that has been licensed
and looked i have about a 100+ anime that i already DLed and wats more i have more than a 100 more cd that has been licensed it to show support to the licenseres and im not a piracy conspirator
oh and dam thats highg campre to us which about the money spent about 2 million dollars are sent to just do a campaigne on election and that is just the minimum set _________________
I did a calculation... if they fine me 10,000 for every anime episode I own, I'll be fined...

regardless, if you go to your Campus computer lab and download the episodes from there without logging in, I don't see how they'd know it was you.
also 10,000 per episode is insane. Just buy a lawyer, as you'll be bankrupted if you lose anyways. and kick their asses. Its what their asking for.
Copyright laws don't apply to stuff you can tape off the airways. if it isn't being SOLD. It just doesn't. I could go tape CBS news and give the tape to a friend, is that illegal? nopers. grabbing it from a fansubber is no different. and it would deal a crippling blow to these lawsuit slapping people and companies.

Haha, there'll definetely be a limit to the amount I'll be fined anyway. Probably capped at 100k or something... it'll be insane to fine 13 mil, then they'll be desperate to arrest people already.
You're right, recording and lending to friends isn't illegal. But making copies/distributing it, especially to a point where anyone can tap from your source (seed), that is illegal.
That is probably why, technically, the AS playlist isn't all that illegal.

ya. but, i dun think us dling anime is wrong, we dl n keep for ourself, we nv sell to others for $. we only keep it our self, that means we r the end user. =.= n since the fansub page is open for us to dl, y cant we get it??? we only get it for ourself, not to sell.

Dun forgot we are potential money source. Every episode we've downloaded, means that we have less chances of actually buying the original DVD. Besides, there're always people who download them to sell, go check ebay or yahoo auction and you'll find them. Thee authorities isn't gonna wait for someone to download, then sell them, before trying to check out who's downloading it...
Also, fansubbing is actually illegal, because they're the first "seeds" of the episode, which means they are distributors of copyrighted materials.
Holiday has come, I'm on a search for alternative solutions... I'll keep you posted =)

Hey hey fren...though we share the same feelings, it's still better to play on the safe side. Who knows whether is there any 'dog' of that group watching and reading this forum.
sgrean here too. yea this really sucks. i've stopped dling animes altogether, not even unlicensed ones. currently watching through video streaming websites, even if the quality sucks.
Have any of your guys acutally have friends who got caught or something? It seemed pretty rare anyway... does the whatever event at June 1 actually cause a rise in the number of people getting caught?
