How many episodes are there supposed to be in this series? 12?

Meaning this series might not get past Volume 2 of the manga!?!?!

OK just saw this... And I like it. A lot. The mood of the manga is captured perfectly, the animation is very smooth and high quality, and the new stuff (like that cat) is hilarious too. They did change around quite a bit of stuff, and it seems they might skip over Chapter 2 (since they had a bit of it in this episode already). Also you meet many of the characters already and there are some other added scenes.

One thing I didn't like is that the character design seem a bit butchered, and Seiji looks like a wimp in some cases (in the OP for instance). But most of the time this isn't really noticable.

Anyway since this seem so high budget I guess it might indeed be a 13 episode series after all... (in that case there better be a second season Razz

)

Like others have said, Seiji doesn't look as menacing.

But... uh... if they allow a flash of boobs, why they changed Seiji's magazine collection from hardcore & softporn to bikini babes?

Anyways, thinking about it, doesn't Seiji follow the mold of Slam Dunk's Sakuragi? Just give him red hair instead of yellow...

Midori no Hibi episode one has been subbed by an unknown group. Apparently the subs are fairly decent so if you can't wait for a few more days for more groups to pick it up, you can download the fansub now.

yeah, group who subbed it is [^ ^]. So just look for that. The sub was pretty good so no complaints. Loved the first ep. if only i could make a gif! sighhhhhhhhhhhhhh.

Anyway, for u manga readers out there, the show was pretty true to the manga with a few exceptions like making the "meeting" a bit wackier and showing glimpses of future characters.

I wasn't really expecting much from the anime version of midori.. but so far it seems to be on par...and even a little bit above the manga as far as humour comes Very Happy

hopefully it stays like this... and I like the small differences that are in the anime.. if it was exactly like the manga then it wouldn't be as fun to watch.

I think Midori no Hibi and Paranoia Agent make this otherwise bland season seem great!

Hmm... I don't know how you people are actually enjoying the [^ ^] sub, because it's really not that great at all... They skipped a few lines, missed ALOT of jokes, and didn't even bother subbing the OP/ED (actually I have a feeling that these people just used the manga scanlations to sub this, since most of the jokes that were missed are the anime-only ones). IMO I enjoyed the episode even more when I watched the raw since the sub killed so many of the jokes. I think everyone should try another version when it comes out, I think you'll like it even more.
