i just started watching this... 2 things.
1) this is a stupid question.. but you know those trains that they show which attach at the top.. do those trains really exist? okay so i'm a frog in a deep well still living in the 1800's but those things look dangerous.
2) is it just me, or does midori's mom look like a clone of the female ANBU ninja that was at Hyate's tombstone..and who exactly was Hyate anyway, the sword guy that got killed? |

1) Yes they do exist. You are living in the past man =) Most major cities I know have either subways or some sort of light rail system. My city has the Sky Train.
2) I don't watch Naruto.. so no comparisions here =)
I did however watch ep 4 and thought it was fairly funny. They are staying true to the manga.. although they are taking things out of the manga timeline and into the anime... which can be good or bad.. but doing pretty well at the moment.
I would like to see more of the romantic advances from Seiji's classmate.. forgot her name.. but when she's trying to win his heart was always the funniest parts in the manga. _________________

Yeah i would also like to see her advances. Im sure they won't cut that out. Ep 3 was ok and ep 4 was aright as well. I'm wondering how they'll end it since the manga doesn't seem to have any clear end in sight. _________________ [IMG:508:164:6c8e3c695e]http://i130.photobucket.com/albums/p252/inqArk/Original_sig.jpg[/img:6c8e3c695e] |

| Episode 4 was very enjoyable... but I get the feeling that this show doesn't have anything original apart from the 'right hand girlfriend' idea. It could as well be Chobits or whatever. Definitely best of its kind this season though. |

I think the girl at Hayate's grave is a different hair and eye colour. Different hairstyle too I think.. Have to take a good look. But it's different (at the back of my head). Hehehhe Interesting. She jumped anime's. Probabbly Hayate is Midori's father.
Both of them are so sickly |

well, i've been on the sky train (vancouver right), but i dont remember it as being hanging from the top, but that was many years ago..and i cant really remember.... but still, a train that is not supported from the bottom sounds dangerous to me |

SkyTrain is on top of tracks, but there is no reason why the train can't be hung from tracks instead of being on them. If you ever go skiing, all the gondolas are hung from the top.
And here's a pic of a real train in Japan. I don't think they are as cost effective as ground trains but .. meh.

| i understand, but as u can see in the pic, this thing is small, same with gondalas and whatnot. i'm just in awe of how they had it in the show, with a regular sized train with multiple sections hung from the track. my original inclination was a physical non feasibility.. but what do i know. The thing i'm wondering now is how the trains which hang from the track become on the tracks as u see at the train station scenes. But perhaps its 2 diff train systems. This is way off topic. |

Have you ever played Half-Life? In the opening, you are on one of those trains. And if i remember well, the train changes from hanging tracks to ground tracks at one time.
And another example, there are roller coasters that are hanging from the track. I do agree that multiple sections seems hard to believe, but i can assure you it's not dangerous at all, as safe as a plane (it's all about the maintenance checks). |

ok, while i agree with you that its all about the safety checks and everything (rollercoasters included), i hate to tell u that halflife is an incredbly crap example... main reason - its a videogame...
does your example of halflife also prove that theres aliens invading the earth from a research base in the middle of new mexico? although, i admit it would be cool if they were _________________

I'll be honest and say that I haven't seen that kind of system used anywhere here in Tokyo. But then again Tokyo isn't all of Japan. That and come to think of it there was a train like that in the Cowboy Bebop Movie wasn't there? On the other hand (No pun intended) having a girl for a right hand is kinda reaching too isn't it? :P
I was less than inspired by ep. 5. Maybe it is because I have been reading the manga but really I am already starting to lose intrest in the anime adaption. Oh well, that's what the manga is for I suppose. |
