U know what Dark.. i'll do that. I don't know the language enough to notice when i'm missing a joke  . Anyway, is it set at 13 eps? I don't think 13 eps will accomplish anything. Then again the manga has only 4 volumes to date  .SIGH

For those that wish to be informed (And most of you probably already know anyway) The Manga is currently at 5 volumes over here. The fifth tank came out about 2 or so weeks ago.
As for the anime and those of you that like the cat, rest assured that this was a change that seems to have been added for the sake of the author. (He makes a little statement about how he likes cats in the intro to tank 5) so maybe that is why they threw him in there.
As for translations, I didn't bother with the first one but there was one little place in the AE version that got me pondering... (16:59 girl asks where the toliet is and I swear he is saying walk down the hall and to your LEFT <hidari> when the subtitles say RIGHT which would be <migi> but it is said so fast I am not sure if he is pointing out something else in there or not...) <point point! /start> On the other hand I am no fansubber, nor claim to be one and am no Japanese Master either. <Point point! /end> I could very well be wrong. That and it is just a little technical thing really... Not going to ruin the plot if the bathroom is on the left or right is it? Of course now I will have to watch all the subs to try and verify it because it will drive me mad... :P
Other than that the show itself was fun but again I am iffy as to how the anime handles things in the long run. I've seen too many bad trasitions from anime to manga (Especially if I have been following the manga) to be confident after watching just the first ep. That and low faith in studio Pierrot... |

pretty freakishly funny anime...have had a good comedy in a while.

Even though the subbing is bad because most of the jokes were missed out, i appreciate that a group of people actually subbed episode 1 because people sub animes for free. Either than that, i thought it was hilarious even though i never read the manga or saw the raw version  |

Actually he was pointing to the girl's RIGHT, so the subs are correct... I'm guessing that he said go to HIS left in Japanese but then again I have no idea.

And as you will see (in the manga at least, if not in the anime), he will. |

Watched/skipped through the Seichi version (Did their encode look really good or is it just me? Probably just me, that and skipping through it... SCR? You out there? Thoughts?)
Anyway they say left. (17:03)
Honestly I feel he is simply pointing to the hall behind him not nessicarily pointing to indicate right or left... I mean if he is saying down the hall/corridor and hidari I'm just having a hard time seeing that translating as "right" :P
But then again... <Will consut sensei in the morn'> I'm all curious now as the what he is saying... sugiagatari? (sukiagatari? Aaah mouuu! stupid langage studies mulling over stupid simple things!!!) KankeiNAIyo! |

But the girl DID went to her right (which is the direction he seemed to be pointing at)... Not the left.
Anyway like I said, the Japanese version probably meant Seichi's left, while in English you generally want to get more specific, so it was to the girl's right. Just a translation preference I think. |
