On this cool Anime-Source website, I have fun writing reviews of Anime shows that I've seen. And I appreciate reading others' reviews so I get a decent idea of quality shows vs. those that ain't so good.
That being said, have any other reviewers written something about a show, and then later on thought that they made a mistake? I have. Like initially giving Full Metal Panic: 2nd Raid a "9" because of some slow episodes and not-so-good music, but later on figuring out that the strong emotions, improved artwork, and the appealing exchanges between the characters really made it good enough for a "10". And I initially thought the ending musical theme for Melancholy was not-so-good without that cool dance routine. But it since has grown on me, and now it's one of my favorites, even without the dance routine. Or have folks been too generous with some scores like me? GIS: 2nd Gig didn't deserve an "8" (too much boring talk), and Air didn't deserve an "8" (too confusing and random). I'm sure there are other such misses I've had.
I wanted to change some reviews, but found out things don't work that way here. So, I feel at least a little better making a confession here about some of my goofs. Anyone else? Examples?

have you tried contacting the staff and telling them that you want to change your review???
if ever they do allow changes they would most likely delete your review and then ask you to make another one.. or so i assume...
my review misses i wouldn't really call a miss...
well for some shows i was too critical and on some i was just whatever...
and when i looked back... some shows that were given this rating were not coherent with why i put the same score on another... oh well... _________________
If you had changed opinions of any particular series, contact a staff or a mod and tell them... Old one gets deleted and you do a new one, but no points though.
Lol, I though you have something to complain about the reviews... I had some...
Mr. xristyan and DU5K, Thanks for your encouragement to contact the staff. I might not have tried hard enough before, so I will be getting to it because my goofs still do bug me a little.
But Mr./Ms. red255's message did remind me of what's most helpful about these reviews, which is the sound reasoning behind the number rating. I imagine that the hard-working Admins here are doing a great job weeding out the empty reviews that are simply "It's Great. It's a 10", or "It's Terrible. It's a 4". We need the solid reasoning behind the reviews, including the real-life subjective stuff, even if it's like... "I hated Elfen Lied, because I hate girls with pink hair!". This at least lets us know what kind of reviewer we're dealing with here. When I find a smart review, I'll check that reviewers other stuff hoping to find some more helpful and well thought out ideas, and usually I've been rewarded.
But also, I guess the real gutsy reviewers who are ready to confess their goofs haven't come around yet. I think another goof I made was with Last Exile. The art was great and the storyline and characters real good, but I simply haven't given this series a second thought after seeing it way back in the day. If it's forgetable, well, that's not so good. I'd knock it down from "9" to an "8".
While you can contact us to edit your review or change your score, you'll have to resubmit a review an thus it'll change the date of your submission (I like to keep things in chronological order xD)
I have a few confessions, my scores of 10 for Nanaka 6/17 and Ultra Maniac (what was I thinking?) and the low scores for Azumanga Daioh, I watched it again and I truly did not appreciate its animation + fun back then, but I do still feel that the jokes were a bit stretched XD
That's all I can think of on the top of my head, I'll have to look at my list to see what other slip ups I did.
Thanks for the help Ms. Himitsu. I'm glad you're still helping things run so smoothly for this great site!
You had some guts too in coming out about some goofs. Another one that came to mind for me was Basilisk. I really really really wanted to like this one. The artwork was way cool. But the more I thought about it, the direction of the plot and the ending were just so dissatisfying that I should have bopped it down from an "8" to a "7". I think I do try to be too positive sometimes because I like Anime alot in general. But it don't help people to play up a show that really doesn't deliver.
