|
|
This test is part of my experiment, please be honest with the results.
Read the following words outloud as quickly as possible. Let your eyes scan the page, take no breaks in between each word. If you take too long to finish then you failed this test.
On your mark, get set, go!
seven
dead
many
ricochet
smart
grape
rested
ran
read
keyboard
cross
Now read the spoiled below:
The word "read" could have been said either past tense or present tense. Given little time, most was left to the subconcious. The words were written all in red, pushing the mind torward saying "read" in the past tense. Also, the two words above "read" were verbs that began with the letter "r" and were also in past tense. My studies say someone who said "read" in the present tense is a little sharper that said "read" in the past tense. This is not necessarily the case, I don't like the word "sharp". I simply mean, someone who said "read" in the past tense is a little more subjective to outside influence, such as subliminal advertising- not that there is anything wrong with that. It could also mean that you are quick to making observations and basing your judgement on that.
Here are the results:
If you don't remember which word you said, than mark 1.
If you remember saying "read" in the past tense, mark 2.
If you remember saying "read" in the present tense, mark 3.
If you hesitated a great deal at the word "read" and failed the test, mark 4.
If you knew what this test was about as before you read the spoiled explanation, mark 5.
If none of the above, mark 6.
This test should measure your savviness, 1-5 (not very accurate)
Once again, please be honest with the results, they're very important to my research. If you see any flaws in the way this test done, please bring it to my attention. |

3. But I'm no native english speaker, so I probably pay more attention when reading, instead of just glancing at it. If this was in German i might have gotten 2 |

Good Job but can you select that in the poll please? It's for statistical reasons. |

savvy means to understand.
I thought it was goinf to be one of those where you ran the words together and ther is a hidden message. _________________ If violence isn't the answer, you didn't use enough.
Most people operate under a fundamental misconception:
they believe most if not all people are good
It is saddly verry much not so. |

One of the definitions. It's a pretty general word. |
