obviously cats sleep when tired, eat when hungry, express their emotion via various actions, its basically what humans and many other life forms do, but its a fact that like others, they all have different personalities. none of the cats i have encountered are ever the same. earning their affection is sometimes challenging because they are independent and filled with pride , you would think you know your cat, but they will always manage to surprise you. they are not that much of a simple and horrid creature as many marked them are. i chose 2)Mysterious and inscrutable because all other options poorly sums up the natures of a cat. _________________ "Look at me, with my pretty bracelet and tiara... Lets see what I'll find about my self by choosing number:
1.) Basking in the Sun.
Why one, simple... because cats are one of the few animals that seem to derive some kind of pleasure from sunlight... just ask yourself, when was the last time I felt move by the beauty of sunlight and the warm that wraps us...?
But hey I can see why some people would choose pleasantly soft to touch...

One thing I have always found dissapointing though is this perspective.
all cats are different you say but you describe them all as one. You shouldn't be earning your cat's respective anyway, that's dumb. You shouldn't even like your cat if you have to earn it's affection...
That's my voice anyway! I go for mysterious and inscrutible because my cat is a genius, always getting into trouble by learning how to do things that he shouldn't.
My mom would always tease my cat with her bracelet. He'd try to reach for it, she'd pull it higher, etc. So he'd look at the bracelet on her wrist, and when you looked him in the eye, he'd walk away as if saying "I'm not up to something". Two days ago, at night, my cat opened the garage door somehow and got into the house, opened my parents door quietly, jumped onto her bed and tore her bracelett off with his teeth. It was hilarious XD
But still, as affectionate as he is, he doesn't actually care about anyone else but himself (he's been tested ). But he's more mysterious than he is inscrutible

why? like most people have said.. cats have this distinct personality about them...
they seem to feel that they are above our level... they look down on us sometimes...
unlike dogs you can't really train them to do stuff or some simple chores... its basically their choice if they will comply with you...
but they do know how to get things their way.. the look, the gestures... they will reach you...
i don't mind owning a cat.. i think they are slightly easier to have as a pet... but i can't really have one since i have asthma... and my mom hates them.. especially newborn kittens.. she has a phobia... _________________
