wow, awesome. Welcome to our site and thanks for your service to the world. Hope it's not too hot being in Afghanistan. Another anime friend of mine from NH is in the desert right now. He's in Iraq, but since he does aircraft maintenance, he's far from the danger... well, at least we hope he is.

| I was first turned on to anime in the mid 90's through a program that used to be on the Sci-Fi channel called Saturday Anime which presented feature legnth titles every weekend. The first anime I was ever exposed to was Project A-ko. When I was still young I enjoyed anime for the simpler reasons, now, after finding myself a bit more and maturing mentally, Ive recognised the superior abilities the Japanese convey through Anime and Manga in the aspects of screen-writing and in conveying philosophy.Recently, Ive come more to grips with my interest in anime and Japanese entertainment and decided to use the internet to consort with others who share my interest. |
ah cool, someone who appreciates the more sincere undertones and the latent messages within the complexity of the storyline conveyed by the medium.

| Currently, my favorite shows would include DearS, FLCL, Samurai Champloo, Cowboy Bebop, Amenadeyo, Eureka Seven, Bleach, Ichigo 100%, Hellsing, Fullmetal Panic (excellent animation, best Ive seen in a while), Desert Punk (Sunabozu), and Neon Genesis Evangeleon. Also some of my favorite feature length titles would include Akira (duh), Mars Wars, Project A-ko series, Demon City Shinjuku, Ninja Scroll, Vampire Hunter D, 8-man After, Robot Carnival (great art), Tank Police series, Princess Mononoke, and Samurai X (originals). |
