My advice? Listen to what xeno is saying. Why? You're ALREADY blessed with the luck to find someone that knows exactly what he is talking about on this matter on an Anime Message board of which seems to be most populated by teens or pre-teens. That in itself is a bloody miracle already, don't hope for another one like getting off innocent. Like xeno said, you're more likely to get lenience by pleading guilty and asking for lenience, than by trying to feign ignorance.

I haven't visited this site in months (and I haven't read any manga for months or watched much anime). And what do I find? I can't believe you got in trouble with the law! Well, actually....

Since I don't know anything about criminal law, I can't really give any advice. But I think it would be best if you follow the advice of xeno.
