Hi, I am new here, obviously. I'm a newbie to the real world and work as a mattress salesman. I get like two customers a day and I'm all alone. somebody kill me ;-;
My dream is to be a manga writer. I think making a story is easy if you use literature to base it off. And I've read... a lot. I think Fullmetal Alchemist was based off Of Mice and Men, maybe Gundam SEED based of... The Good Soldier? Death Note, maybe Artemis Fowl? I dunno. Gantz based off Lord of the Flies perhaps. I guess you have to read a lot to be a manga writer and I do! You'd also have to have a lot of spare time to draw. You have noooo idea ;-;
Still a virgin, probably will be the rest of my life, still no girlfriend ;-;
Sadly enough I think this sums up my entire life ;-;

oh gawd, I know what that's like. Luckily I get to sit in front of a tv and computer monitor with internet access while I sit in front of a phone that never rings.

wow, looks like you got a good background in literature. If you have anything to show us of your latest projects, use our Fan Words section to promote yourself and seek insight/opinions.

haha, oh man, I know that pain... well... kinda. I'm not a virgin, but finding a girlfriend is such a headache these days. Using those online dating services is just the quickest way of murdering whatever is left of your soul. If you must, use okcupid.com... avoid match.com, they're a bunch of thieves.

you're an emergency dispatcher aren't you? For the police or firefighters? I'm guessing for firefighters because the police prefer girls and firefighters prefer guys. Also, firefighters aren't on the field as much whereas the police are bothered all the time. Though if you're not than I made myself sound stupid DX

No my friend you misunderstand. It's worse than that, I'm in love with my best friend, who only thinks of me as a friend ;-;. That's why I'll be a virgin for the rest of my life. ;-; I've been asked out twice this month by two cute girls ;-; someone kill me. It's kind of like a harem situation except the exact opposite and no one is envious of me.

I rock at paintballing. People say I'd be the most dangerous school shooter they'd ever see. Whatever that means

Thanks, but I actually think I have a future in this, and, well you know. But I can tell you that it's about superhero teenagers living together in their giant space sattelite. It's pretty funny, I've written 48 chapters, each being one story. The artistry is pretty lazy, except during the ecchi scenes of course O_0

Welcome to A-Source, Copywheeluser!
Anyway I hope you have a good time around the forums.
I saw your thread about your friend. Don't worry about it, just keep on doing what your already doing and things will work themselves out.
Looks like you and me have read some of the same books, but I never noticed how they related to those animes.
Plus that story your writing sounds interesting. ^_^

Fire Department... we also run the ambulance service for this town, so we cover a lot of ground.
Haha, I guess it's true that girls are more likely to do police and guys do fire. Our police department is mostly girls (not sure of the numbers) while our fire department is 6 guys and 2 girls.

oh, I get it. You can GET the ladies, just not the one you WANT. That rots about being stuck in "the friend zone." I prolly don't know much about your situation to give you any worthwhile advice, but I say, if she ain't biting now, she's never going to be. Live your life and be happy elsewhere.
Heh heh, or be super-sneaky and accept a date with another girl. Your friend is probably complacent at having you all to herself without the hassle of a relationship, but as soon as that set-up is threatened, you might see her change her tune (it's true, trust me, I have a lot of female friends and past girlfriends... plus a minor in psych... to know what's going on in her mind).

nah, no xenophobia for me. Though I'm shy, I'm actually comfortable in big crowds... I've spoken in front of big crowds plenty of times.

actually it can be when it hits u hard, but for the most of the time it just either hits u and it is like a tiny ball hitting u or it bounces off u and hurts like crazy OR u just get owned and get a headshot right in the forhead T__T
XD
I actually have a bad experience with paintball since I got into an accident while going to paintballing, I was going with a bunch of church ppl.
we were passing a double parked side of the highway when a car was pullin away from being pulled over and didn't even see us, then we spun like a helicopter. -_- xD

unfortunately a lot of my advice comes from my own failures in life... but hey, I've had enough successed to not be upset by them. Such is life. I must share my wisdom.

prolly in a notepad file or something. I can't imagine he'd keep typing it over and over. Kinda impersonal, but hey, it's useful info, so do what works.

I thought I had explained it one of those other username origin threads, but a quick search turned up nothing. meh~ _________________ GTX: Great Teacher Xeno... my daily blog about teaching in an elementary and middle school in Japan (see right-menu)
I saw your thread about your friend. Don't worry about it, just keep on doing what your already doing and things will work themselves out.
Yes, yes they will. I think I got her jealous this morning when a cute girl in the building was talking to me infront of her as if she knew we weren't together. Hehehe though maybe it wasn't jealousy but primal territorial nature.

Awww. I know that Alt- 0153 in frontpage is the symbol for trademark so I thought you were advertising something in a very super secret way.

no, I'm saying I don't want other people to be inspired by my story, to make there own, of a similar nature, after I put it on the internet, if you can understand.

There's something about a half white, half asian american in a dead end boring job isolated all day long that owns an actual gun that scares people a little. heh. racists.

hehe try getting shot in the back of the knee, causes an involuntary spasm and makes you trip and fly backwards in a most unbecoming way.

Me too, with a bunch of church people. We were playing sudden death paintball, pretty stupid if you ask me. It's somewhat of my invention. Everyone sets up camp, everyone in a circle, sitting on tree stumps staring at eachother. When one falls asleep, we all shoot them, they lose. The last one left is our new leader which divies the guns, teams, locations, play times, etc. I won, hehehe, the only non Christian.

ummm... okay. Yeah, I understand that, but at the same time, nothing's going to stop that from happening once you "make it big" anyway. Most manga-ka start by developing a small fanbase of faithful followers. Ya gotta start somewhere. Watch Comic Party if you haven't see it yet. It's the best way to learn how a manga goes from a thought inside your head to the hands of your fans. Have you shown anyone your work? How about getting a table at a con's Artist Alley.

that would be like me telling you to watch... Girls Bravo if you haven't seen it yet.
I've seen Comic Party, I wish my situation was as funny but it wasn't. I asked for a second opinion from... what's his name and he read it and wasn't incredibly impressed. He said it was funny but inconsistent. There was a chapter on superheroes doing taxes, a chapter on a race to find a hidden porn stash. He said it was like a cross between Dilbert and Ed, Edd, and Eddy. He said the ecchi scenes are too immature for adults and inapporpriate for children. I should have known better than going to an adult for help. And also the superheros all used are mostly guys, he said it wasn't gender equal. It's not my fault there are no female superheroes (widely known ones). He says I need a target audience, but I don't think so.
