Yay! The countdown of love is 52 hours. For my date, we're sneaking into our old highschool at highschool and having a picnic. I scoped it out and researched. The gates to the field remain unlocked for a night after the soccer game. The grass is fake so it won't be unbearably cold, just cold enough that she'll need to snuggle. And no midnight sprinklers. And the moon is looking pretty nice from where I am. I know what you're thinking, I think a lot, and yes you're right.
What does everybody think? Advice?

Oh. I actually do have past experience to share in the matter. Overthinking it and getting really nervous leading up to it and being indecisive = your worst enemy. If you're able to stay calm and relax, you'll have a far clearer mind to read the mood and recognize any signs or tells she may drop about being open to a kiss. That's about all I can say on the matter though. =p

Brushing teeth is not only done for kisses... it is done for your basic hygiene so wether there is a chance of a kiss later you must ALWAYS brush your teeth...

You have to play it by ear... some girls are shy when there are people around.. some just don't care... try and read the situation... if you deem that the girl will be more comfortable with no one really looking you can make that moment yours alone and more intimate...

do you remember those anime like tenchi muyo or whatever series where in the girl is much shorter than the guy and when they do kiss, the girl goes on her tip toe to reach the guy? though some may find that really cute, its hard for the girl... guys, make the extra effort to bend down to her... she can't really see your posture once you have your face blocking her view...
or as xeno suggested... the stairs can be used effectively in these situations..

now keep in mind, i don't kiss many boys, and many boys don't
want to kiss me either so this is hard earned experience!
keep in mind, first kisses aren't usually planned, and even if they
are they don't usually go as planned due to nervousness and what
nots. most important thing is you go with the flow, and what you're
comfortable with, and what you think they're comfortable with.

way that you like her. main key is to relax. at the door is okay but it

ah, excellent advice. It's prolly more of a girl thing, but if you wanna chew some regular/minty flavored gum or a tic-tac or whatever, that might not be a bad idea. I'd prolly do it far enough in advance so that the candy is gone before I start kissing. Gum-exchange can be cute, but prolly not on the first date.

I find it cute, but I can see how it could be troublesome after a while. Of course, once you've started dating, it gets easier to "get comfortable" lying down on the couch or whatnot.

ah yes, the chin/neck/cheek/hair manuever... another personal fave of mine. I'd prolly avoid that on the first kiss, but then again, it really depends on a number of factors.

Oh, another moment I can share... kissing in the rain really drives a girl wild. A lot of the girls I dated said that kissing in the rain is really romantic. The last girl I dated, one night we pulled up to my house during a rainstorm. We got out of the car and ran up the driveway to my house. I was behind her when I grabbed her arm to stop her. She turned around wondering why I was stopping her from getting to shelter when I kissed her. She loved it. They stop caring about getting soaked really quick once you start being romantic.

haha, yeah, no garlic. Also avoid anything that you know will upset your stomach. And going to the bathroom to check up is a good idea. Prolly a good strategy to rinse out your mouth with water, too.
haha... if I ever saw anyone bring a toothbrush on a date, I'd prolly die laughing. Although, they do make those one-time use mini-brushes you put on your finger. I have yet to form a solid opinion on those things. I'd think bringing one on a date would just be too odd.

ah, good point. You prolly don't want to be crowding her as she goes for the door. I wouldn't even walk up the steps.. let her come down to you or invite you up to the door. That way she's not sweating thinking you're going to follow her inside or something creepy like that.

hahaha... yes... hollywood lies. First ANYTHINGS are usually gawky and awkward. Don't expect fireworks or orchestral music kind of moments. Expect bumping heads, banging noses, at-the-moment sneezes, dogs peeing on your legs, birds pooping on your head... hahahah, I just painted pretty picture. Well, don't EXPECT any of those to things to actually happen, but rather just realize if they do happen, it's not the end of the world. Laugh it off.

Staircase, that's genius! We do have a staircase though it's a tad scary at night because the lights are dim. The rain! That's also genius! Infact she said two years ago "wouldn't kissing in the rain be so romantic?" and September is only a week away. Yes xeno is quite the genius.
