I liked it, but the first episode doesn't really introduce anyone or any plot...
Anyways, I'm interested in the next episode.

haha... interesting...

The opening was so random, I wasn't sure if this was a joke fansub or a real anime Razz

The girl in the witch costume with the cat on her shoulder is too cute. I laughed my ass off when the cat started talking ^^

Looks like it should be a good series

I really liked the animation quality and the style. The amateur movie part was quite funny, imagining the voice actress and actors trying to sound unnatural. This was only first episode, so we have no idea what the quality will be like for the rest of the series.
At near the end of the amateur movie sequence, the cat started talking and the male protagonist of the movie started glowing blue; which looked real compared to their crappy special effects, I'm starting to think that this anime actually DOES involve fantasy elements.

Yuun > Yeah the sub is out. Check the title: Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuuutsu

P.S. Here's Mikuru Beam in action: [IMG:150:119:6b22a1fe68]http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v435/ypark/avatars/mikuru-beam.gif[/img:6b22a1fe68]

I spent the first 2 minutes of that epsidoe saying "WTF?" and the rest of it saying "LMFAO!". I loved the wholes low-budget, and just plain crappy movie. Fav part was with the fireworks and then the teachers yelling. After taking a film and video class, I can almost relate to the crappy things that show up in the final cut of a movie.

It was pretty hilarious.

My first impression of this was really bad. I mean, did you guys watch the OP theme to its full extent? It was terrible! And of terrible quality. I didn't expect much just from the OP song. But then after watching somewhat, you soon find out what's really going on (it took me a while, haha).

I'm wondering if they will continue with this approach. Considering the synopsis from the official site, it doesn't look like it. It's a different approach, but it may just get tiring later.

It's funny, but in truth, anyone can watch a movie or be the camera man and make smart aleck comments.

Love the commercials. It was enjoyable and funny, but not the greatest experience. I'll watch a few more to see its real production.

it was one hell of a weird ride, really...

i mean, you would think WTH?! is going on in this anime. Weird sound acting, cheap and uninspired action sequence, heck even emotionless and uninspiring characters!! Not only the OP, the whole of it...

The only thing that kept me was the narrators remarks and the WTH?! feeling... and then it got to the end.

Weird concept, weird first episode, makes me wanting for more.

Very nice dance sequence though, at the end.

Here's what I got out of this anime: "???????............????????..........????????..........????? I can't believe I'm watching this."

This show was weird and not in the interesting way. I don't know if I should be thinking anything about this yet. I hope the first episode was a joke because it isn't reassuring. I stopped watching near the end so I might have missed something important, if anything.

I would consider watching an extra episode.

Lol. I felt the exact same way as everyone else. I was watching it and was like.. wtf.. is this how the story is supposed to go? WTHs going on.
And then I start to wonder if that was a summary of everything they went through, and in the next episodes, they're actually going to fill in the blanks.
The first episode was so completely random! If they weren't so cute, I probably wouldn't give the show a few more chances, but it looks like it could be a fairly decent show.
