This is were I step in with something a little bit more simple... stop going off topic, if you two want to discuss the whole thing you got going on, make a new thread about it or pm each other. I doubt people would go in to this thread that's about first dates or whatever and find people talking about rape and censorship.
That was the original post that told him to make his own thread instead of derailing another. The only problem is he didn't so much establish a thread as he just started a thread called date rape with an empty post simply to spite eisen saying "I just did what you told me to".
Now that this thread is here though, I can say what I wanted to without derailing copywheeluser's thread any more than it was.
Subber, you quoted the forum rules stating that you didn't violate them at all. The fact of the matter is, you were interpreting rule one by the standard of if YOU would be offended about something.

Just because you don't find the topic of date rape offensive, and you don't find cracking jokes about it offensive, doesn't mean that no one else that reads your posts will find it offensive, or that they shouldn't be offended, simply because you think they shouldn't.

Would other girls in her position be offended, or loved ones of hers be offended? The truth of the matter is that yes, the probability of those people being offended is high. Just like how the right to Free Speech gives you the right to use racial slurs in public as long as you understand and accept the consequences of your actions, please try to understand that your posts were distasteful enough to warrant editing.
Date rape is a horrible problem, and you've agreed with that and do share the same opinion. But the bottom line is that blatantly making jokes about it is in seriously bad taste, and rude. It's a touchy subject, and it does need to be discussed and addressed. That's why eisen gave you the go-ahead to start your own thread. Cracking jokes about it however isn't discussing anything at all and displays a certain amount of immaturity regarding the subject.
The question is, can SHE laugh it off? Would SHE be cracking the jokes and making light of the whole thing on this message board like you have been?
She did say that the black guy had the biggest dick. But she was drunk at the time. I dont think she was THAT pissed. She got an abortion and moved on.

That's totally ridiculous. If I said you are a jackass, you are worthless, go kill yourself, that would be breaking rule one. I can't anticipate when someone might be offended. Mabey your thread was offensive to ME. That's just twisting the meaning of rule one.

I say the same to anyone who gives a line like that. If you don't like it, don't read it and don't bitch about it. This whole thing is getting ridiculous. I know what you're saying man, and you can't please everyone because there'll always be someone offended. But I think you should recognize that there are somethings that are just obvious taboos, and making jokes out of them is a little inconsiderate. This can be twisted either way. I can say its selfish and inconsiderate of you to post something so offensive. While you can say its offensive to you for saying that your post was offensive. But the bottom line is that most people aren't as cool about it as you and some people really just can't stand that stuff, so why not just take one for the team ? It all comes down to who has to make the bigger effort: The tens of people who are utterly offended because of a similar, painful incident in their past? Or the person who's just trying to have some fun? Anyways, I'm not offended, just giving my opinion =D (although your last picture was urghh when I saw it)

Since i have no idea what happened in the other thread, my opinion probably ain't worth all that much...
But rule 1 is "Be nice to each other", not "The minority must agree with the majority". He found whatever he said funny, good for him. You don't. Good for you.

Personally I don't find that he's done much wrong except for what I considered as trolling and going off topic. If anyone actually feel that he's offended you, you can either report him or the post or talk to him by sending him a pm.
Subber: Seeing as you made this thread and I still think this can probably lead to at least something better other than arguing about the forum rules you can actually make something of it. Otherwise it's just a useless thread that's not about anything in reality which means we might as well lock it up. The choice is yours

See, that's what gets me. I shouldn't have to be ultra carefull just in case someone dosen't like what I say.
I said if you know/suspects they would get riled up, not incase they might get riled up. You're not stupid now are you so you know what you shouldn't joke about that can get people riled up. Try thinking outside of what you think is normal. And I don't give a damn if you did this to spite me or what kind of humor you have. But your humor causes reactions so think about when your using it, using it when someone is asking for advice is just going offtopic and causing reactions which looks pretty close to trolling which since you got such good grasp on the forum rules it is indeed against the rules. If your going to use it ignore the comments and don't get in to a debate about it, if you want to give them a piece of your mind about what they think of your humor then send a pm.
