When I saw that this visual novel by Minori was being made into an anime, I've hardly been able to wait for its first episode to come out.
I don't really know what happens in the game, as I've never played it, but I've seen little bits of it, and I like it.
Also, I'm extremely happy that they used the opening of the game, Eternal Feather (or at least a rendition of it), as the OP for the anime, because that is one of my favorite songs ever. (for all who don't know, the first episode/prologue came out 3 days ago)
Is anyone else looking forward to this anime as much as I am? _________________ [IMG:400:120:873b0624c7]http://i16.photobucket.com/albums/b21/hurricanedra/Boredom.gif[/img:873b0624c7] |

oh but it was a "good" confusing episode!!! i loved the different types of visuals that was shown throughout the episode .. i don't see those that often which was nice to see ..
and yaa .. the story was a bit confusing though i was able to grasp enough of it to see where it's headed .. ^__^
this will definitely be up there on my download list every week!! |

O_o That lost you? I was in there the whole time. Essentially...
It sets up the basis for the storyline.

ya it's a bit confusing but makes still makes some sense .. but goshhhh the visuals are soooooo nice and eye catching .. seeing the different styles and motions draws me in every second i'm watching .. the story too draws me in to that aspect .. waiting for that little tidbit of information that will reveal more of this somewhat confusing story that is slowly opening up ..
can't wait for more episodes!!! |

I'm going to jump in the opposite direction of the band-wagon and state that this anime is trying way too hard to be something that it isn't. It has the visual appearance of what happens when you give 4 college students an assignment and they try to throw as many visual effects as possible into the piece they produce regardless of whether or not those visual effects contribute to the story being told. The result? Epilepsy.
They're trying way too hard to be "artistic" and the result is hurting their story and needlessly confusing their viewers. Don't get me wrong, I'm all for an intricate/confusing plot... but this stories plot is FAR from that from what I've seen so far... what makes it confusing is when your eyes have to keep readjusting over and over again as they get assaulted with random crap on the screen.
After two episodes.... all I can do is hope that they learn their lesson and tone it down a little bit with the random/pointless/poorly planned visual effects. _________________ You can't hold no groove if you ain't got no pocket. |

I watched this a couple days ago. And I was somewhat confused about what was going on. Heck, I can't really even remember what I saw now, it left use an unmemorable impression. Though it wasn't bad, so I'll go ahead and watch another episode to see if things shake into place a bit.
As for the artistic effects. I can appreciate how certain artistic effects and help with setting a mood, but with me already still grappling with what is even suppose to be happening, I felt they really weren't helping the story, weren't really setting any mood, and just seemed overly used. Though this probably wouldn't hurt my enjoyment of the anime.
Anyway, I'll watch episode 2 real soon, probably today. Hopefully the story will start to develop for me. |

Try not to confuse the visuals with the storyline, and you will all work out fine, guys.
Interestingly, I find some parts of this 'artistic' presentation to be good-above average, perhaps, but at other times, might confuse viewers as to what's really going on, and whether all that is supposed to have any significance. I appreciated the mild silver lining around the girl at the church and Mr. Mangaka (damn it...Can't remember his name well...), which serves to add a mystifying effect, especially so since we don't know who the girl is, and the purpose she serves as a character here.
Currently, my understanding is that
Three guys and their relationships with the girls around them. Some of these girls are somehow linked to one another (Chihiro-the cutest here, I reckon-and her sister, while from the promo it would seem as though there will be some friction over Mr. Mangaka).
Considering episode 2 has thrown us a revelation already, it would seem as though
All that remains for the other girls except Chihiro to start developing a good deal more, since we've been seeing her more than the others.
I'd say this one is promising, but its fate hinges on it's presentation of the story, especially since a whole lot of viewers seemed pretty confused after the strange 'artistic' expression of scenes. Well, the story jumping might seem strange, but it's minori after all. _________________ [IMG:350:100:b32e8a3e97]http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a103/FAITH01/tomoyo1.png[/img:b32e8a3e97] |

That is awesome. I'm loving this already. I haven't found a single flaw yet. (although that's only 2 episodes, that's still good). _________________ [IMG:400:120:873b0624c7]http://i16.photobucket.com/albums/b21/hurricanedra/Boredom.gif[/img:873b0624c7] |

The way they split the time frames of this series makes it hard to watch for me for some reason. Also, how they switch back and forth between two characters makes it hard to focus on the story.
The only part of this series I like is the music, which doesn't fit the crappy animation and uninteresting story filled with stereotypical characters (in the animation, because of the terrible way they carried out to show the male characters, which actually made them seem somewhat shallow)... However, since this may change depending on how the animation develops the characters.
I hate one of the male character already. Hopefully, that may also change.
My first thought when I saw him interact with that girl at the abandoned train station was, "What a f*cking little turd."

watched the first two episodes, the story still seem confusing to me, but I think i got a better understanding of it now..... I think....
So basically the anime has two different focus, on two different places right? The first half focuses on Hirono Hiro, who is a mangaka at his current school.
Then the second half focus on Chihiro at some country area, who has a memory disorder, kinda like that girl from 50 first dates. And so far, to my understanding, Chihiro is the twin sister to Kei, who is also attending Hirono's school and call him onichan.
correct me if I'm wrong cause I've never play the visual novel of this anime.
anyway still not sure if the storyline has two different timeline or at two different areas. I really like this anime so far. |
