Hello there fellow otakus and casual anime viewers alike!
I've been using this site for almost a year, however it didn't dawn on me that this site actually had a forum (-.-;) until quite recently.
Now that I DO know, however, I figured I'd get myself introduced to this little community, and here I am.
See y'all around! (^_^)V _________________ 秘密ã?¨ã?¯å¯†ã?‹ã?«éš ã?—ã?¦äººã?«çŸ¥ã‚‰ã?ªã?„事を言ã?†ã?®ã?

wow... a Ropponmatsu fan... I adore!!! ^______^
I love your avatar and signature banner. I really need to rewatch Excel Saga. I just mass-purchased the manga volumes 7-16 though it's been years since I finished vol 6.

Welcome to A-S Ropponmatsu ^^
Coincidently enough, I randomly re-watched one of the Excel Saga episodes where she comes in. Haha love that anime, I really need to get round re-wathing it all.
I've heard that the manga is way different to anime... the anime parody's the manga or something
Oops back to it, hope you enjoy youself around here and meet all the fun ppl around _________________ Get ready to vote for who you think is the Sexiest Anime Character!!

Ropponmatsu indeed! ^_^ I thought she was kinda cute in the anime (which I saw first) but when I read the manga, where she (and all other characters for that matter) has a lot more of a role, it was kinda instant love. That mix of innocence, catty-ness and michievous glint in the eye is just awesome! ^_^
And yeah the manga is WAY~ off from the anime. I like the anime as a good laugh by the principle "HAHA WTF IS THIS?!" ^_^;
However, as I said above, the characters are very different, both in art and personality. Most notably Excel, who isn't a braindead girl on speed, she's rather quite smart and more of a woman (at least nowdays, the manga is >10 years and going now) though she has a very weird perception of the Reality around her.
Also, the anime give some characters alot smaller part than they have in the manga, such as Shiouji (the doctor), as well as the fact that one of the MAIN characters, isn't even IN the anime (Elgala). >.<;
Well, enough of that! However I do advice people to at least try to read the manga, since it is VERY good if you like the more complex everyday-life humor it has (everyday-life is a relative term when speaking of the members of Across and Municipal Force Daitenjin). O.o
Thank you for liking my sig! I Couldn't resist the urge to goth loli-fy the adorable nekomimi Ropponmatsu! ^_^;
Also about my banner for those who read japanese. NO, the "I want to drink your blood~" is not an actual quote of hers. ^^;
ps.
An anime site and forum with this many members, and no one had taken the nick "Ropponmatsu" when I registered about a week ago?! fO.o _________________ 秘密ã?¨ã?¯å¯†ã?‹ã?«éš ã?—ã?¦äººã?«çŸ¥ã‚‰ã?ªã?„事を言ã?†ã?®ã?

I don't remember her from the manga... but that's my problem with manga in general... without the voices and music, not much is memorable to me. Or maybe I just haven't gotten to that part. ::shrugs:: I do like her in the anime though... she's wacky.

mm... yeah, I haven't noticed many anime-parodies in the manga version of it. I like the anime because it has a great in-episode soundtrack.

good point. Excel isn't much of a lame-brain in the manga. I felt the biggest change was Hyatt though. In the anime she's all sweet and innocent, but in the manga she's just plain mean, heh heh.

meh, that happens in ALL series. When you consider that anime has time-restrictions, they have to pick and choose which characters to emphasize. At least they gave Misaki, Dr. Kabapu and the three neighbors plenty of time in the anime.

did you know that ACROS is a real place? It's the Asian Crossroads Over-Seas association that promotes good relations between Japan and the rest of Asia. When I was researching Fukuoka (yes, the "City of F" in which Excel Saga is based... and possible future-home of xeno), I saw that part and instantly burst out laughing. Hahaha, ACROS is trying to make life in the real-world better while the one in the series is trying to cause chaos.

I'm all in favor of making any anime character into a loli-goth. Just don't develop "rolling computer" syndrome, LOL

::shrugs:: I dunno... this site is only a few years old. Maybe the ES love died down around that time. _________________ GTX: Great Teacher Xeno... my daily blog about teaching in an elementary and middle school in Japan (see right-menu)

Not quite sure what you mean... ^.^; However if it has something to do with doing original work, I must admit that photoshopping is my one and only merit when it comes to images. When I try to draw, I make MYSELF laugh at my ability. -______________- So I stick with modifying other more skilled people's original work ^.^; _________________ 秘密ã?¨ã?¯å¯†ã?‹ã?«éš ã?—ã?¦äººã?«çŸ¥ã‚‰ã?ªã?„事を言ã?†ã?®ã?

oh no, haha, it's from the English version of the Excel Saga anime. If you could make out what she's saying during her super-fast conversations with herself, she says in one episode that she thought "loli-com" (lolita complex) was short for "rori-com" or "rolling computer" ^___^ _________________ GTX: Great Teacher Xeno... my daily blog about teaching in an elementary and middle school in Japan (see right-menu)

Ah~! I think I remember that part now that you mention it! O.o
Was ages since I watched the anime, though I've rewatched some episodes now and then. ^.^;
All this talking about Excel Saga reminds me that the next volume should be in stores by now or soon! Gotta look into that! O.o! _________________ 秘密ã?¨ã?¯å¯†ã?‹ã?«éš ã?—ã?¦äººã?«çŸ¥ã‚‰ã?ªã?„事を言ã?†ã?®ã?

A question I usually avoid to the limits of my ability... ^.^;
My countrymen have a habit of being rowdy and making ***es of themselves when abroad I'm afraid.
I'm from Sweden... T_T
