yo
help me!! My TV is only like 5 or 6 years old. It's a flat-screen... I think it's a Panasonic (I can't check for sure right now).
Anyway, all I have hooked up to it is a DVD player and a PS2. There's no cable and there's no antennae, but whenever I have it on to watch a DVD or play a game, it emits this low-volume, low-pitch steady noise. There's no special speakers or anything hooked to it. Does anyone know what I can do to save my ears and stop getting headaches from prolonged anime-watching on this thing? _________________ GTX: Great Teacher Xeno... my daily blog about teaching in an elementary and middle school in Japan (see right-menu)

xeno, have you tried plugging out all of the cables and plug it back in? Steady low-pitched noise may come from improper plugging of the audio jack into the plug in the TV or the plug itself is broken.
If your TV has multiple input, you may want to try plugging the jack into a different port and see whether you receive the same noise. _________________ Innocent Tranquility

that was my first assumption. I'm too lazy to actually do it when I think about it, and since I'm always on the forums, I figured I'd ask.
I'll get off my lazy ass and play with the wires next time now that I know for sure where to start. _________________ GTX: Great Teacher Xeno... my daily blog about teaching in an elementary and middle school in Japan (see right-menu)
