| I think it is disney. And... Disney used to be better but... I don't like those new computer animations. I prefer the traditional style. But I think they'll get back to it after some time if they happen to realize that no one likes their new stuff. (although there are good computer animated movies too, like Toy Story, Ice Age and FFVII, but they weren't animated by Disney) |

| Disney is old hat, its all about anime. Disney's for small children, and anime is for teens and adults. The age gap makes a huge difference in popularity. About which is better known world wide, thats quite difficult to say as I don't know how popular anime is in other countries, but its definitely known by most people. |

| Well, of course I'm watching alot more Anime now adays than I am Disney. But I voted for Disney because it's stuff that's made for everyone. There are many Anime shows that are good for all ages, but there are tons that aren't! Also, typically the animation quality of the Disney shows is big-time superior to our beloved Anime shows. Frankly, I would LOVE to see my favorites (like Elfen Lied, Monster, FMP, FMA, Ouran High, Speed Grapher, Ninja Scroll movie, Mai Hime, etc. etc. etc.) done with Disney quality animation. That would be GREAT!!! |

I have a feeling that Disney is more popular globally... most kids would grow up with a disney show accompanying them in their childhood...
ask a kid if he knows mickey mouse and most likely he would say yes, ask a kid if he knows astro boy and you won't get as much yes...

| As much as i love anime, I voted for Disney. Disney is made for all ages and almost every kid grew up watching disney. |

the answer is surely Disney... nothing can compete with the tens of millions of princess-wannabes out there in the world. Anime is a little more complex and thus usually only enjoyed by those that can understand its themes and appreciate it's animation... so thus most teens and college students. However, only a small portion of that population goes that route. Disney is timeless, it's something anyone of any age can enjoy... plus they advertise like crazy and have so much capital behind it, not only in America.
So in sum:
which has more appreciation... anime
which has more exposure... disney

do any of you know that The Lion King was a rip-off the classic anime Kimba the White Lion,personally all of disney show's are some kind of rip-off of any fantasies.but yeh disney is much more popular because most parent's will bring their children to a disney movie,unless they bring an OVA of some anime and watch it with the whole family  ,I bet there's a few out there,how I envy e'm |

most Disney movies are based off of tales by Hans Christian Andersen

the tides are slowly changing now that a lot of adults of child-bearing years have been anime fans for decades. I know a few families that have more children's anime than Disney movies in their DVD collections... plus at cons, seeing young kids going in full-cosplay is becoming more and more popular.

I voted anime. I think this because there are some many animes that appeal to different people. Anime is geared toward all age groups, and there are animes in all categories. Disney focuses on children only. I'm almost sure that anime has more viewers and accumulates more money than Disney.

simple if it is Disney the you gotta have Cable if none available well ther is always local channels that runs anime or re runs anime
ang aslo
anime like Princess SArah , Cediand and Haidee are very much popular in our country hehehe

Based on how close the polls are, on an Anime biased forum (Since clearly everybody here has at least SOME interest in it), i really don't think this'll end a very accurate result, lol.
Based on how close it is as it stands, i'd prolly have to guess Disney is more popular~ |
