hmm.. be it part of the story or whatnot.. the first ep still was like half recycled material..
well interesting premise ill give it that, definitely much better than the movie, animationwise as well.. _________________ [img:400:237:866f672f5a]http://www.geocities.com/bktabz/mari_boya.jpg[/img:866f672f5a]
hmm yeah think they wanted to make a recap episode without making it a recap episode so new viewers know a little who is who. Made it a bit strange but think next episode will be much better.

I agree >.< I was fully expecting it too lol.
But yeah I thought it was a pretty alright first ep, if your like me and has dodgy memory eppie 1 worked out just right ~
I aboslutely loved the scene where Yuji asks Shana what she had said before they plunged into doom and Alastor was coughing.

Great episode. Loved the recappiness. However, one thing. Hishoku no Sora > than the new one. _________________ [IMG:400:120:873b0624c7]http://i16.photobucket.com/albums/b21/hurricanedra/Boredom.gif[/img:873b0624c7]
First episode was a disappointment, really. Not to the extent where I would simply whine on and on about it without giving my favorite series a chance, but to the point where I can only consider it an average pilot episode in comparison to the others which aired.
While throwing us into the midst of action was great in Season 1, things are a little different here. Seasoned (no pun intended) viewers would have some knowledge of the Shanaverse by now, so doing it again might not have the complete desired effect as it did before.
One major minus point was the usage of recycled scenes. You can be forgiven if, for a minute, you had doubted whether Sunrise was doing this instead of J.C Animation.
Another point to take note of is, despite the humor provided by Shana's and Alastor's reaction to Yuuji's question at the end of the episode was the inconsistency between the scenes. What the hell was that with Yuuji nodding at the end of Season 1 regarding Shana's confession, while it was stated in Season 2 that he heard nothing of that sort?!
Well, it's not to say SnS Second will turn out bad, but the first episode just didn't reach my expectations, considering the assumption that SnS is turning out to be a heavyweight anime. I've heard, though, that at least the second episode is better in terms of story and character development.
and now with the 'fight' between yoshida and shana, we can expect more 'romance' xD
i don't care what people say what kind of series SnS is supposed to be, i want my romance... _________________ [IMG:338:120:3d94243a9b]http://img526.imageshack.us/img526/6072/70939132oo8.png[/img:3d94243a9b]
Afterall, the fate of the world rests on my pitching....the world sure isn't worth much these days.

Melon Pan FTW ^^
Love how the melon bread was all jam packed into obento and it squeezes out. But yeah Yuji seemed a lot happier recieving the bento from Shana then he did when he recieved Yoshida-san's ^^

Episode 2 was arguably a lot better than the pilot. I've a feeling that this would at least shut up some critics who have been gloating about the apparent failures of the first episode.
First, the comedy:
-Wilhelmina's apparent distress over her own inability to cook was a tad bit amusing, but only more so after she faced off against dozens of raw ingredients after almost absent-mindedly strangling Yuuji to death while musing over her failure as a guardian in this aspect and why Shana wanted to cook.
Chigusa provided more entertainment here-It's probably the first time I've seen an awkward expression on her face, and while holding the fire extinguisher.
Next, the action...
I'm a little demanding, so I'd say this isn't very good so far. All we saw so far in this episode was the training and the imaginary fight between Shana and Bal-Peol. Nothing much to say, considering the fact that Shana was distracted half of the time and that she was in Mare's world to do any damage or slick moves at all.
Then, the relationships...
Ike certainly isn't doing himself too many favours here, but praise is always a first step. However, I'm relieved that the rivalry is still on, though a little disappointed at how quickly the fanned flames between Kazumi and Shana died down. I'm not saying it's not a good thing for the viewers and for Yuuji (Wow...Two bentos from two girls) that Shana becomes totally unreasonable and deny any contribution Kazumi had, but it happened a little fast, and Kazumi wasn't really a big part of all that action except being the damsel in distress.
Story development so far...
Nice to see that Yuuji is becoming stronger in a sense, since his Reiji Maigo's capacity has grown to great proportions to rival that of a Guze no Ou. Eventually I hope to see him casting Fuzetsus soon.
Another thing is the Keeper issue. Apparently Wilhelmina and Alastor know a lot more than they are letting on, and this will probably come to light more in the impending Pheles arc. I'm delighted that the development so far seems to focus on Yuuji instead of Shana for now, somehow.
Overall, I'd say a pretty good episode. Seems like they are back to the 'a Tomogara for a few episodes' format, until reaching the important parts that come from the novel and that involve their greatest enemy, the Balle Masque. Eat your hearts out, critics. _________________ [IMG:350:100:b32e8a3e97]http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a103/FAITH01/tomoyo1.png[/img:b32e8a3e97]
