Shakugan no Shana II

Compared to the first season, this is horrible. Last 2 episodes have been completely useless. Both episodes were like watching the Food Network with all the cooking. I really miss the Fire Haze action. Even Margery Daw has drunk herself nice,

The Konoe addition was a good idea, but darn get on with it.

Sigh to slice of life for me.

I said I liked the whole love triangle dilemna thing.. but dragging it this far into a series that i expected to have much action and fighting is kinda dissapointing...

I hope they actually get on with the series...

next episode seems to be another slice of life episode... they better make up for it in the upcoming action that I hope they are still planning to put up...

ugh the pace of the story in sns2 is starting to get on my nerves its starting to look like some half assed school life anime Evil or Very Mad

Despite me also hating the pace its going now, perhaps it's trying to build the emotional aspect for the events that's to happen later on in the series. Rolling Eyes

WHAT THE FUCKING HELL

I've waited 2 motherfucking years to watch the title I loved so goddamn much get reduced into a REALLY FUCKING GAY ANIME. They just thew away the original concept - and I mean the WHOLE fucking concept into an incinerator and replaced it with a high school romance harem. 2 YEARS OF PLANNING AND THIS SHITTY PRODUCTION IS WHAT THEY CAME UP WITH?! What happened to all the fighting that I expected? An actual plot that has antagonists that consist more than 1 apparently clueless turquoise-haired girl? I'm all for adding a few 'life' episodes to build character but they're getting the whole build wrong. The entire seriousness of the anime the first season had was torn asunder in this production. To make it worse, the characters in the anime don't have the background to support a romance-highschool anime - their personalities are too unassertive. Theres something seriously wrong with having a clueless guy get this much attention. The comedy elements don't mix well because it conflicts the core of the characters and certainly not enough to recover the rest of the story.

The opening was moderately strong but the consequent 5 episodes after lack in strength. I'm not exactly hopeful because judging from the pace thy've set, I can already predict what's going to happen. A 'turnaround' is planned later on to bring it back to the fighting mode and although they think they've done a great job in developing the romance into a whatever-shape, what they've really done is diversify too many storylines into a linear plot and saturated it with irrelevancy so that the average viewer becomes irritated because they wonder 'why do i care about the relationship between minor characters?' and 'what about the crisis that the world faces?' Training is not a substitute for action and when Yuji gains that little bit of strength, we don't see any application for it - which makes it hard to feel for him. That and him gaining unlimited potential all of a sudden and not a inch of wisdom between the 2 sides of his head pisses the audience. Indecisiveness is the number one killer of male protagonists, second only to prostate cancer.

3 more episodes of crap and i might just turn into a shana flamer - and i'm one of the biggest defenders of shana.

Wow such Powerful rant! but i agree with you i waited so long and what this is is a steaming pile of crap, what made the first season attractive was gone and replaced with a plot like so many other anime.

Filler? Perhaps...But I find it to be more interesting that what has been happening so far.

At least we're talking about Margery here. It's nice to know a little more about a Flame Haze's past (one of the reasons why I was slightly disappointed with the premises of the Movie, since I consider it to be perhaps a showing of what happened with Wilhelmina and Mathilda in the past). While the 'real' plot hasn't progressed from this, it was a nice breather from the almost pointless love-quadrangle.

Despite my misgivings, I hope that despite a terrible start, SnS II will stop what it's been showing thus far and get on with the story. Skepticism is a pretty terrible poison, so I'll simply continue to hope that when they wake up from this silly dream of doing anime original episodes (or so I think), the show WILL get better. Smile

Every new episode makes a small piece of myself die inside. I honestly thought Boobanaughts (Dragonnaught)was killing me, especially with Gonzo adding banana hammocks, but this is just insane.

They should have just done a different series with the same chars and call it Shana no School Days and make Shana no Shakugun II for the real fans.

Sigh.

I think the reason Balle Masque hasn't attacked is because they are also sickened to their stomaches.

Show more training segments or show more of the new powers, someone killing a cockroach, it doesn't matter...but damnit show something.

Makes me wonder why I temporarily stopped watching the second season of this series. Rolling Eyes

I kind of had that feeling that this would happen since the time I saw that end preview of the first episode of this so-called romance arc. I thought it was for one episode (never saw it), but to this extent, a bit more?

At least we're back to the action, although I wouldn't really call it a plot progression. Keisaku wants in on the action now..

Margery from the past actually looks....less sober. Laughing

I think she looks better like that. Hawt.
