I love tsunderes and their reactions when they get flustered and embarassed. I loved Kyou's scene in the last episode... I really have no idea what "moe" really is but sure why not!

i think this anime blows due to it came from a game. see when they die, air, tsukihime and some more they have crappy ending. only exemption is fate stay.

Wait, how are they all crappy? You'd have to complete all the main story lines from those games to even get a vague prediction on how the ending will be. Are you telling me that you've played all those games, and know every single ending, to tell us that they're "just crappy"?
I'm all for letting people have their own opinions, but please, let there be a good reason for why you think this series and others like it are "crappy".

I like how they're interwaving Kyou and Tomoyo into the story at the moment. It's a nice change in flow I think ^^

Tomoyo is pure WIN. I just dunno how else to explain her. 'I'll let you touch me, if you beg' I was rolling on the floor ^^ ... not literally.

And Kyou deredere moments, very moe >.<-b and the scene was just hilarious. Not to mention Tomoya's really sexy <3, no wonder why he's such a pimp.

ZGMF --> you know what... I think you might be, just maybe, I mean you don't really express it that much ~ a Tomoyo fanboy ... just maybe Razz

Actually, Proggy, you don't have to bother that much, considering qc_novaliches didn't state any specific reasons as to what's so shitty about every game adaptation aside from F/S N. If he can't enjoy it, that's his loss. *shrug*

for this episode i think Kyou was the WIN!

Tomoyo was a close second with her antics in this episode

...and Fuko will always be... well Fuko... but her appearances are getting kinda old... though they are still quite laughable...

too bad Nagisa was nowhere to be seen in this episode... Confused

Yeah, I wish Fuko had a more significant role than just to be there for comic relief. Her arc was truly beautiful, and the first appearance afterwards was extremely adorable. But like Xrist said, it's getting old =\

awww kind of a sad episode in a way ..

well we finally got the back story on tomoyo..and though it wasn't as "deep" as i thought .. i still liked it..this episode was pure tomoyo and i enjoyed it a lot..even though it wasn't really her "song" or anything..it was cool that during her match they had the background playing like it was "her's" .. hehe ..

with the other clannad girls (nagisa not included) .. they finally realize who tomoya has chosen (even if he doesn't realize it himself) .. the tears though were a bit "big" .. lol

even tomoyo noticed when she found out that nagisa was the one who wants to start up the drama club and that tomoya was doing this all for her .. a bit sad for me on that part .. because even though i knew from the beginning that nagisa would be the one (only obvious) .. tomoyo, like others, has become one of my favs!! and seeing her in all the dfferent school sport outfits = WIN!!

Episode 18 Thoughts:

Well, it's done and there's that, but watching the episode now makes me feel all the more sorrier for the twins and Tomoyo.

Besides that, the episode was mostly about Tomoyo, I suppose, since it reveals the main reason why she was going for the elections and in the end it all played out to the theme of the show itself: Family.

I have to say it was quite a nice episode, but felt as though Tomoyo's story could have been developed more. In a way, the anime felt as though it cheapened her value in the story, but since I haven't played the game yet...*shrugs*
Her backstory was interesting, but as many have already stated, did not have as much emotional impact as Fuuko's or even Kotomi's did. It was somewhat touching, but unlike the Kotomi monologue coupled with voiceovers and sound effects as we were seeing it in her mind, it was as though I was simply watching it from a third-person perspective. Simply put, though what Takafumi did was in a sense powerful, I couldn't feel so much for him or Tomoyo...Or even the Sakagami family.

As for Ryou, it would seem as though she lost all hope during the tennis match, but Kyou was obviously the more affected of the twins. Sad...But the KyoAni shouldn't be given a beating just because they have to get the story to move on and even consider something else other than the 'True Path'. Besides, the 'True Path' usually has more flavour and more content to be used, so I'll be keeping most of my complaints quiet.

The humor was pretty entertaining as usual, and coupled with the fact that Tomoyo appears in various states of sporting outfits made the episode extremely enjoyable until the final part...Not that it wasn't nice to see Nagisa. I had to struggle to keep my laughter down when Tomoyo didn't realise that she had won that baseball 'match', having such a good time pounding Youhei's face in a new and (as quoted from the sports babe herself) 'refreshing' way. Laughing

Another point to note was the typical scenario where a group of girls argued with each other while 'persuading' (Not sure if that was what Kyou was doing... ) the male protagonist to eat their own. Typical? Yes. Entertaining? DEFINITELY. Especially with the reactions from Tomoya.

From the looks of it, Kyou and Ryou are still going to see a piece of action, and I have a feeling even Tomoyo might too, though with a much smaller role. Still, it's nice to see Nagisa back again (Tomoya the Delinquent blushing = win) and the story moving on nicely.

And kozue, I totally agree with your last sentence. Very Happy

Eppie 18 ~ not as entertaining as the previous 2 eppies, but none the less very good.

I like how everything in Clannad at the moment isn't over dramatized. But yeah that scene where all the girls were forcing Tomoya to eat their food was hilarious ~ I loved it when Ryou perked up too, I honestly shouted out 'Go Ryou!' And Fuuko randomly appeared too ... they are jsut overkilling that bit too much now ...

As much as I love Tomoyo and the other girls~ I was really happy when Nagisa back in the scene, I really missed her. I sorta expected the tennis ball to hit her in the face ... but that's just me ^^;;

Hehe and agree with ZGMF, the blushing Tomoya was good Very Happy

every ep is surely a good one... and this one did not disappoint...

it may not have the funniest scene or the most dramatic... but it was plot heavy enough...

we get to see tomoya's choice though it seems its more of an unconscious choice... but still... they look so cute together actually... but that doesn't stop me from feeling devastated for Ryou and Kyou... Tomoyo seems to understand enough... i don't think she ever had the chance... Kotomi doesn't seem to mind too... the only two people oblivious to the whole thing seems to be tomoya and nagisa.... Razz

if they keep on showing fuko they really should tie up that part of her story... it would bring closure for everyone... Very Happy

well... nothing much going on with this episode... its more of a build up episode to something deeper in further episodes...

for the longest time I still don't know what is up with that girl and that scrap robot...
