Unfortunately, Koichi and Yuumi can't possibly work their relationship out perfectly as planned. Most long distance relationships don't work, and as a bonus, Koichi has a girl living in his own house. And we all know the tension is there... At least from Mao's point of view. We know she still remembers the kiss when Koichi was sick, but Koichi seems conviently distracted from that memory with his blossiming relationship with Yuumi. But I(with tears in my eyes as I think of Yuumi moving away), think that as Yuumi moves away, the memories of Mao are going to come back to Koichi, and..well...we'll just have to wait and see what happens then. _________________ [img:397:200:2fb029b052]http://img136.imageshack.us/img136/5003/kyo11d1041058je.png[/img:2fb029b052]

poor kai, i dont think he ever had a chance from the beginning. at least mao had the presence of mind to break it off and stop stringing him along before things got any further. her initial run at him for some rebound action after seeing kouichi and yuumi at the station was a pretty poor choice, but that's just something she'll have to live with.
kazuki's story isn't really getting anywhere. i wonder what sakino asked of shijou

This development only proves that our heroes have two paths each to choose.
We can see how each girl feels (a little fuzzy on Futami) about their respective choice.
Now comes the question:
What happens next? |

Somehow or other, Mao's getting on my nerves a little. Just a bit, because I'm trying to understand her situation, and that people tend to shrink away from others especially when the person in question will be presumably hurt or offended.
Episode 17 isn't really going anywhere until the end, I guess. No concrete resolution with the relationships Kazuki has with Sakino and Futami, because we certainly haven't seen the last of the latter and her involvement with him. On the other hand, the KoichixYuumi relationship seems to be going sweet, but Koichi would have to eventually wake up from the dream and face reality head-on, though it seems that he's prepared for that. I'm not too sure how the producers are going to keep Kai involved, and how Koichi's affections can suddenly take a 360 degree turn to Mao, if it does happen.
In any case, I'm more interested with what happens with Kazuki. _________________ [IMG:350:100:b32e8a3e97]http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a103/FAITH01/tomoyo1.png[/img:b32e8a3e97] |

woah! that was a loaded episode...
from break ups to confessions...
well the conflict is right in sanada's face now... we see how he deals with it...
though I find it quite strange... this show is good in that they don't force the emotions on the characters.. i feel the confession of mao was kinda just that... forced... i hope this doesn't hurt the already nice flow of the story so far...

Loaded episode indeed..
I wonder how Sanada will deal with this situation.. I kind of hope he stays with Yuumi, but my gut tells me it will end up with SanadaxMao after all..

Holy smokes...
we get a little breaker in the conflict of mao, sanada and hoshino... nothing much going on... just the fact that hoshino knows but hasn't confirmed yet the thing between mao and sanada...
This episode though is all Kazuki... I think I am actually more interested in his story rather than sanada's... and this episode affirms it...
that reaction by futami was just priceless... GO KAZUKI!!!!
there is also a very noticeable change with the art and animation... they seem to have put a lot of effort in this one... more hair strands... _________________

pretty straightforward ending there..
ok that was slightly boring.. nothin out of the ordinary happned, ya know it was headed that way at some point and that just what it did.
drama was ok, didnt think it was too much over dramatic, tho everyone seems almost too happy, bittersweet but wearing smiles.. hmm it was an ok ending, just enuff to be different(i really shouldnt expect a KOR-like drama ending i guess.. in a way its also good the way it is.) . but still pretty much a good job on converting kimi kiss into an anime. splitting Kouichi Aihara onto two separate characters, and maybe even some loose traits given to other male characters as well as creating a story that involves most of the female candidates, its defintely one of the better thought out game/manga to anime conversions.

| Whoa, Ko-1 and Kazuki were the same character? Was this a game before? Probably a manga right? That's pretty neat, now that I think about it. |

it was a game and then a couple of mangas, dunno about the game lead char(it assumes the role of the player i suppose), but in one of the mangas the main character is named "Kouichi Aihara" as opposed to the animes "Sanada Kouichi" and "Aihara Kazuki" _________________ [img:400:237:866f672f5a]http://www.geocities.com/bktabz/mari_boya.jpg[/img:866f672f5a] |

I have been reading up on the manga and yeah.. it was a character split... probably to better incorporate the female characters into one big story... cause we can't have all of them falling for the same guy again... no... that would not look too good... it would just be any other run of the mill harem... _________________

I guess the character had enough interesting traits to be able to split them among two different characters. Although I'd have to admit that, with Kouichi's "good looks" and Kazuki's soccer skills, it'd be pretty hard not to fall for such a guy. but it's a little hard to believe that there'd be enough material in one character to be able to split into two.
But I like that idea, I like it a lot. The typical harem storyline has gotten old. Although it may be possible in the real world, it's very rare. If there was a large pool of girls, and few guys, I'd understand. I like how, instead of the protagonist getting one girl, and all the drama involved with that, we get two protagonists, each getting their own. Of course, with that, comes their own set of dramatic situations. |

Ah in the end it was Kazuki and Futami that became my favorite, both Kuichi and Mao turned out to be rather... well, Kazuki and Futami stole their thunder.
poor Kai, Sikano, and Yuumi though..... Kai seemed to have a bigger role to play in the start but got turned down quickly somehow(Mao had to ofc. suddenly fall in love with Kuichi *cousin/sister/brother complex* yuk) and wise versa.
I guess it does have some French in it afterall.... though old and rusty.
One big hurray for Kazuki and Futami once again though, very good story between those two.
*edited for spoilers* |

and so it ends...
*sigh*
well that was kinda anticlimatic... but I guess it was to be expected with how the show's pace has been going...
still a good watch...
And as others might have mentioned already the kazuki x futami pairing was more fun to watch than kouichi x mao...
