Prepare for an unprecedented uncertainty that might very well be the epitome of sibling rivalry... and a whole lot more. This is definitely a winner for comedy this season IMO.

Based on a 4-koma, you can be sure of berserk randomness every second.

My screenies doesn't do the show justice, so just watch the show.

Very similar comedy style to Lucky Star, although it looks like it's less frenetic, random, and disconnected.

Definitely going to fill the cuteness quota for this anime season.

One comment about Lucky Star is its inconsistency in every scene. One moment they're talking about bread, then their talking about homework.

But Minami-ke follows a coherent storyline somewhat:

Cooking breakfast > Cooking dinner > Watching TV > Explaining to the little sister the kissing scene from TV > The 3 sisters' attempt at kissing each other > A love confession in school > A misunderstanding of the love letter > One of the girls kicking the crap out of the boy

Of course, that's summarizing it a bit too much. With tons of humor in between.


Did I mention the absolutely amazing quality of animation? Considering that it's a light, comedy, slice-of-life anime, everything's fluid and consistent. Hope they keep it up.

Of course it would be nice if someone would sub the series. Well, sub it with decent subs that is. The group that did the first ep. needs a new typesetter and QCer. Its almost unreadable. If you speak little to no Japanese, you are almost out of luck.

i thought the characters looked familiar, it turns out ive read a couple of chapters of the manga a coupla years ago.. some scanlation.. still have it on one of my hds. well first few pages are 4 panelled, but its not really a "4-koma" strip..

anyways, the show's dialouge feels a little like ichigo mashimaro.. so yeh, really lots of randomness in their everyday lives..

The new subs look great. And you're definitly right. It is a lot like Ichigo Mashimaro. Kana is a lot like Miu. In these type of shows, it really helps the comedy to have someone like her. Definitely enjoyed the first episode. Looking forward to number 2.

I liked Lucky Star for their characters. XD

This series seems to be nice and funny, but the characters haven't really stood out to me as much. (Then again, who's as eccentric as Konata these days?)

Still, the series is definitely worth my time, so I'll enjoy it fully.

Episode 5 was a bit of a letdown, but episode 6...

i think is really good comedy anime.
with no complicated story, the main plot is to show us the daily antics of those three sisters XD where the x factor is their personalities, very different.
relaxing show!

Yeah it's a great anime to laugh off the stress pile up from my exams now, i guess that guy is their relative or so...maybe he'll be further introduced later in the series...

I just love the how the three sisters have their each own personality. Also, when they get serious, they put on Bruce-Lee like faces on, well their eyes at least. Also, shows the love and brutality of siblings, which I can relate to a bit, though with brothers, not sisters, .
