OK, so here's the thing. Recently, I came to be bothered with my lack of USB ports. As such, I opted to buy a USB hub that would turn my two ports to five(plug into one and get the four ports). So, I tried it out ant now it says that it's a high speed USB on my low speed port. Next, since I burn data DVDs, I wanted to try it out on this new hub, being the sad thing it is, the burning wouldn't work saying the perfectly good disk had a problem burning. I tried a different disk, and still the same problem. So, I went back to the first disk and tried connecting the burner directly to the USB port like I usually do, and lo and behold, it wouldn't even recognize the disk. So, I know the disk is good, I know the files are good, so it's probably something wrong with the USB hub that I tried to connect through. I'm pretty sure that the burner isn't the problem since it will still do stuff like read the disk. Oh, and I'm using an ancient version of Sonic RecordNow!(I'm not sure which version but it was preinstalled and the computer is a few years old now.). _________________ [img:450:200:d0a28f8b61]http://www.anime-source.com/upload/uploadFiles/9979.jpg[/img:d0a28f8b61]

Itachi, attaching a burner to a hub is a bad idea because burners need dedicated USB for their high transfer speed.
If you want to add more USB ports for laptops, I usually recommed a PCMCIA USB hub as this is using PCMCIA bus speed, which is faster, but you may need to check whether your laptops have the PCMCIA slot. If not, then you are not able to add USB ports with good speed to burn data.
If you want to add more ports for desktops, then you need to get USB2.0 PCI card. That one needs a spare PCI slot on your PC. That one usually adds 2 more ports, but you may want to look around for more ports.
Hope that helps =) _________________ Innocent Tranquility
