Ultimate Survivor Kaiji
First of all I loved the Akagi anime which was in the same style as kaji probally by the same mangaka. I think I'm the biggest fan of the artwork because I don't just like anime. And I luv anime that doesn't follow the mainstream anime style.
When I saw that Kaji was going to be fansubbed I was like overly happy!!! I've seen up to episode 3 that's how many there are fansubbed right now. And it happened again I got totally sucked in by the anime.
Buzz anyone watching this too?

| I'm watching it and Il ike it. i liked akagi too and kaiji is done in the exact same artwork and style and narration. Should be a good series. |

Gomen nasai I thought there was a synopsis in the AS database.
The anime is about Gambling just like the anime Akagi.
It's about a guy named Kaji that needs to pay of a debt of a friend with the yakuza because he co-signed a contract.
He has no ways to pay for it.
The yakuza offers him to go on a special cruise he'll be able to earn a lot of money to pay of his debts and perhaps even win some extra cash.
The yakuza didn't leave him any other choices since it would take him years to pay off the debt.
The cruise is filled with people that have a debt with the yakuza.
On the boat they are told that they'll be playing a game.
Those who lose will be forced to pay of their debt in slave conditions.
The yakuza gives them money they can use in the game. They can choose to borrow 1 million to 10 million yen.
But since the money is borrowed you'll have to pay it back with interest.
And every 10 minutes the interest grows.
They have 4 hours to play the game.
I won't tell you what game cause this is where the fun starts.

Jan ken... rock, paper scissors. The extra stipulation is that it's limited by the cards that you have... you get 3 rocks, 3 paper, 3 scissors.

I really like the way this story is being presented. They are really keeping me insanely tense and excited at every step. This is definitely my favorite show this season. The art is pretty cool, I always like things that are original and stylized. It definitely fits with the overall mood. The characters are cool but so horribly sad sometimes. The ones that are assholes, you hate. The ons that are sad make you want to cry. This show is delivering on all levels right now.
god damn if that guy betrays kaiji i will probably go berzerk

| Can't believe more people haven't gotten hooked on this. Its pretty crazy some of the crap Kaiji has had to go through! Hopefully he can win the last round of E-card and crush that bastard Tonegawa. Anyone else want to see him being forced to walk over that tightrope and fall to his death like those others had to. |

I went totally insane, but that has been pretty par for the course as of late. The Ship of Hope seems like a distant memory now, Kaiji has been going through some ridiculous stuff lately.

Wow, it was better than that, I guess. I felt bad the entire time to be honest. I'm glad Kaiji has a new target now. I can't wait for the conclusion of this show. |

| Series is over (hopefully only season one). I'm pretty shocked by it ending with such a twist (which prolly solidifies this series as a keeper). Definitely recommend watching it to anyone. I want a second season! |
