Shion no Ou

Anime-Source Synopsis & Reviews

I've watched the first 2 episodes and I am intrigue.

I like the main character, Shion.

She is unique as there aren't many lead anime characters who can't speak due to a trauma. This leaves her rather defenseless especially when there is a stalker cum murderer after her.

Her two supporting characters also have an air of intrigue about them.

One we learn early on is not who she appears to be and the other we are given hints that there is more then just the happy and correct exterior presented.

Add in the murder mystery of Shion's past and her stalker...

Sprinkle in Organizations "X" interest in the 3 of them...

And what we have is much more then just a board game.

This is one series I'll be following. Hope they keep up the suspense.

Just finished watching ep2 and my thought is... Shion is just so adorable that I want to hug her ^^

We get to hear Paku Romi's male & female voice again, I mean Ayumi Saito's seiyuu. When they play Shougi, it feels like something's missing. Maybe it's because I don't know how to play Shougi at all?

Yeah, Paku Romi's female voice is kinda hard to recognize. I believe this is the first time she's doing both male and female voices in the same show.

I've read that this series is 12 eps?

It sounded like

Hani-meji knows about Saito.

I had taught before this ep that Saito would beat Nikaido with her seemingly having doubts abt her ability.

Next ep looks like a breather before they take things up a notch or two.

I don't think this will end at 12 episodes. They are just starting a new arc with the competition.

I checked at AniDb and it list 25 episodes now (Yay!)

Do you'll think that

the younger Meijin's brother is the murderer?

He seems to know alot about everybody.

Wonder why he is after Shion or like she said, why he hates her?
