Im not sure if there is a program, but i do know theres an extension u can buy that uses a stylus to write characters on a touch sensitive screen.
it plugs into a USB port.
i dont have a picture of it, because i dont know what its called.
but check out the electrical stores.
china and japan has them, not sure about the rest of the world. :S _________________ [img:567:138:151453bb6b]http://www.anime-source.com/upload/uploadFiles/wahagifsda.gif[/img:151453bb6b]

Do you mean that you want to draw the characters using your mouse instead of typing it using the keyboard? _________________

Microsoft IME Pad supports handwriting recognition that works with a mouse or graphic pen. _________________ What's yours is mine, what's mine is still mine. |

Lucifer, I think what he means is that the software will be able to detect the word and change it immediately into a chinese/japanese character. It is the stroke identifier software.....
If you use the pad, it will display as pictures, not as font/word. I remember one of my acquaintance mentioning about the software, but I have forgotten what the software name is....
Let me take a look around and get back to you.... _________________

i'm pretty sure lucifer's link further up on the thread has what you're looking for. if you scroll down to about 1/3, it shows an example of how to input using your mouse to draw the character. _________________

Sorry, did not go to Luc's link. I have confirmed that it is working for the Japanese IME pad.
As for the Chinese, I can't seem to find the pad working, except for Chinese (Taiwan). For certain reason, I can only get the Chinese pad working on Traditional Chinese writings, not the Simplified Chinese writings.
I am still playing around with the IME... As for now, if you want to use the Jap IME, the link provided by Lucifer should be more than detailed enough on how to use it. _________________
