Anime-Source Synopsis & Reviews
So, what's going on with this? I haven't even seen any raw versions out yet...or is it because of Warner Bros..
Anyways, just to for fun facts, John Woo is the producer for this film and Miuccia Prada (PRADA) is doing costume designs for Deunan. _________________

I'll toss the animedb link in too:
http://anidb.net/perl-bin/animedb.pl?show=anime&aid=5080
Not perfect, but they usually figure out who is subbing a series before I do. But I've got nothing better to do so I'll ask around for you on the interwebs.
Glances though.... um movie, guessing 'still in theatres' type, so no raw of any decent quality till the DVD is out in nippon. so probably what 4-6 months? |

Bah, that's too long. DVD hits R1 in Spring 2008, so we'll probably get the english version by then.
I found the english trailer on IGN not too long ago:

| I had completely forgotten about Appleseed till Encore WAM has been showing it daily (have watched 3 times now in 4 days). Cannot wait for this! have 0 clue as to any of the new ideas but hoping activating appleseed was a bad idea! |

pretty good show.. tho u might call it somewhat cliche at most parts.. but still pretty solid movie.
they've done away with the cellshading style, well maybe its still there but its blended(texturized) better than the first, cant say which was a better visual treat tho, 2004 or ex machina.. somehow 2004 had more shine to it when it came to the effects(particularly liked the shiny metallic feel), now its a bit more polished/blurred(a bit more plastic-y?).. _________________ [img:400:237:866f672f5a]http://www.geocities.com/bktabz/mari_boya.jpg[/img:866f672f5a] |

Yea I just watched this last night finnaly. Ew...
Cliche at parts is being nice, I didn't like it. It had its moments where there a few well done plot lines and exchanges but for the most part the story was cliche and terrible for most of it.
And yea at first the animation was decent but the more I looked at it, the more i kept expecting to have to pick up my PS2 controler to start playing FFX again when the cut scene finished, then I realized I was still watching a movie with FFX cinema graphics >.<
Im being harsh I should probably give it another watch. _________________ [img:300:150:31bbfdc5c8]http://img178.imageshack.us/img178/5114/hartsigbleachcopytz4.jpg[/img:31bbfdc5c8]

I downloaded a Blu-Ray rip, burnt it onto a DVD, and watched it on my TV.
There probably were a few cliche spots, but my mind didn't really register them. My eyes were wincing at times, though.
Did anyone else think that fortress in the sky was a little damned familiar? Like...I don't know, the Borg, from Star Trek? _________________

heh.. i really dont like the fact that they went all FF-like on this one, i mean everyone looks so friggin perfect(well that aside from the extra characters)...
briareos looked leaner, hell even athena looks like she shed off a few years since 2k4. and deunan, how can she still hold those heavy guns when she lost the arm muscles she had on the first movie.
i kinda like Vexille's character 3d render of the same year, it looked more like a better followup to the animation style of appleseed 2k4 plus they rendered some realistic faces for the extras.. storywise tho, appleseed still has a better running. visually tho, Vexille left a better impression, its like its 3d yet its not exactly the same as everything else thats already out there. .. it was like the first time seeing appleseed 2k4 it made a certain impression.. while ex machina's animation.. i swear i thought i was seeing barbie dolls when Hitomi's party scene kicked in. plus comparing the other 3d aspects aside from the character render in ex machina, 2k4 had more detail in the surrounding/environment and objects.. when machines are cut or explode it had more detail in 2k4 than there was in ex machina.
i wonder if there had been any changes made that wasnt part of the origibal plan when they were working on it coz of the producer. some scenes really do look like a cut out of a few other movies' moments... _________________ [img:400:237:866f672f5a]http://www.geocities.com/bktabz/mari_boya.jpg[/img:866f672f5a] |

I finally got around to seeing this. I liked this one more than the original Appleseed movie and much much more than Vexille. _________________
