I had my very first red bull today and it tasted pretty nasty, although not as nasty as franks energy drinks...but I have to say, after drinking red bull, I was energetic for about...30 minutes. During those 30 minutes, I felt really really giddy. After that 30 minutes however, I found myself incredibily tired and started yawning incessantly. I also lost some power of my reasoning as I'm starting up a new thread for no apparent reason than to say that red bull made me tired. I forget just why i wanted everyone to know that I'm really tired now.
And now I have 5 hours of class so thanks redbull for sucking up what little energy I had left. Anyone else have energy drink stories they want to share? |

redbull hv an side-effect? first time i heard about this....
its sound funny in a way too, an energy drink which drain out your energy......lol
as for me, i always hv an energy drink, like 100 Plus for exmple evry time i catch a cold......it wasnt as strong as Redbull though..
but i must say that it was quite effective really, a few sip of it is more than enough for me to stop the runny nose and endure my headache......alot more effective than a drug i tell you....
anyway, Redbull side-effect sound kinda intresting, i might consider to experience it myself..... _________________ [img:300:50:996c22e8b0]http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v208/Ragnarin/myforumLOLskills.gif[/img:996c22e8b0] |

Drinking it while I'm typing ^^ ... really besides using them for study, I steer clear from them, coz its not all that for your body anyway
Red bull is like my best freind during this time of semester, I basically live off them ^^ lol I think I'm getting immune to them though... I don't get hyper or giddy ... just keeps me up like coffee would. Then the plan is to detox after exam period, and hope they work for the next exams ~ _________________ Get ready to vote for who you think is the Sexiest Anime Character!! |

While not an energy drink, I drank this cold caffeine drink from Starbuck in the morning and had my eyes bulging out the entire day. While not feeling energetic, my eyes just couldn't close. It may be open but I was sound asleep inside~
My friend back in gr.8 used to drink redbull every lunch period for a time. We always joke about it being the source of his stupidity. _________________

I actually thought Red bull was some alcoholic for a bit, the nature of the adds and how the can is labeled. _________________ If violence isn't the answer, you didn't use enough.

no alcohol... just a crapload of sugar. I think those things actually have more mgs of sugar than the can's volume can even hold, haha.
but yeah, hearing all this is no surprise to me. They're only a temporary fix, but the problem is, it's not GIVING you energy, only making you FEEL like you have energy. So thus you spend what energy you had quicker than normal and when the "high" died down, you're left with nothing to hold you up. Coffee does the same thing.
They're all in a classification of drugs (both legal and illegal) called "stimulants"... but that's useless knowledge. However, like most drugs, you should keep away and find more healthy ways of keeping your energy like proper amounts of sleep and nutrious food... you know, that stuff I should be doing myself. Haha, I'm all talk. _________________

hmmmm energy drink stories...
i got one.. LOL...
was clubbing one night to celebrate my friends 21st birthday... one of my drinks was vodka mixed with red bull...
said to lower your inhibitions yet keep you going through the night...
energy drinks are crap... they don't really help you when you need energy... and when you don't need it, they frickin make you restless...
i hated that feeling of you knowing you are drunk, with your head swirling and tired as hell yet you can't get a frickin shut eye cause you just guzzled down a load of sugar and now you are on a high with a pent up "energy" that won't go away if you are just lying down...
i would settle for Coca Cola if i want to keep awake... tis good enough for me.... LOL _________________

My first time drinking red bull was for an all-nighter I had to pull for an exam . . . which turned out to be useless since, though it did keep me awake, it shot my brain to hell and made it impossible for me to think and retain any information. And yeah, I had that crash, too.
The second time I tried red bull I was on a roadtrip from AZ to TX and I didn't want to make any stops. To make sure I stayed awake on the road, I ended up chasing it with a couple of caffeine pills . . . I don't recommend doing this unless you want to vibrate yourself into another dimension.
After that I gave up on red bull along with any other energy drinks that rely on a crap load of caffeine and sugar to keep you awake. Vitamin supplement drinks such as Boost and Ensure have given me better results and I've recently tried 5-hour Energy which, even though it tasted horrible, lived up to its claims. |

I've never had Red Bull before, but I have had Rock Star and Monster. Those two are okay, well, Monster is, but I've only had Rock Star in alcohol drinks...shame on me...
When I was a kid, I uses to drink this energy drink that came in a brown small glass bottle and had a bull on it. Those were good. The bottle had a weird texture to it when you applied your lips on it and the drink itself would make you pucker, but they were really good. I can't remember if they gave me energy or not but I was still a kid back then, so it didn't really matter. |

my friends have had those... what's worse is that they can't stand the taste, but they insist they can't function without it >____>
I say we change Red Bull's slogan to "Red Bull Gives You Sugar-Rush" _________________

Red bulls ... I try to not resort to them unless I really have to. Like tonight I pretended my orange juice was red bull ... didn't quite work lol. I settled with V (another brand of energy drink), coz i've fun out. I personally like the taste of red bulls though. _________________ Get ready to vote for who you think is the Sexiest Anime Character!! |
