the perfect anime!

Honestly... there's no way to classify your perfect anime with any ONE choice. I know that personally, I like anime that specialize in multiple genres.

But, my favorite genre/s would be a mixture of drama/romance.

Don't know if a perfect anime is out there yet or not i haven't found it though if there is.

Perfect anime? I'm going to have to say its not just one thing, Drama, Adventure(action), and Comedy(Comic relief is important to counter act drama at times) are all important.

I think most people want to see good animation as well, I personally watch anime because i like Fantasy type adventures, so thats important i think but also the series would have to be one that was intellectually stimulating to keep all the viewers interested yet you don't want it to go to deep or else your targeting a smaller audience, and most of the casual viewers would probably be lost.

Lastly I think alot of people watch Anime to relax ^.^ i know i do, its kind of like an escape from reality for me, like a break, so Comedy is good to have to keep the viewer comfortable.

Having to much of any of the three can kill it sometimes, to Happy and it doesn't seem real. To sad and to much drama can make the viewer become uninterested and to much action can make it seem like there is just to much pointless fighting.

Perfect Anime - Good amounts of action, Dramatic and good plot line with some twists, character development and intellectually stimulating with the occasional comic relief.

I would go for comedy (though not ecchi-based ones), drama, school life and of coz actions, adventures and fantasy. but really, it depends on my mood. some days, its just nice to relax and laugh out loud watching School Rumble, somedays, its nice to scare meself abit watching Ghost Hunt....
