Media Encoding/Decoding

Okay. I wanted to cut out some scenes of certain anime. I'm using Sony Vegas. However, there are times when there a video formats not supported and the video or the audio stream does appear when importing to be editted/cut. So, is there any other video editors out there that will allow me to edit/cut videos using for various different types of video codecs?

Sorry for not replying you for a month. Been pretty hectic these few weeks....

You may want to take a look at VirtualDubMod. This software can pretty much used most of the codecs offered in the net.
