17 was pretty good. But it irked me that gg's mkv sub had all those pointless additives thrown in. Really threw the mood for me.

+1 i agree
man is there anyone else subbing? because mkv files are mega lagg files for me and there 300mb+ wayy too big for just one episode |

I think Lunar's Sd xvid sub would be right for you.
BTW, I didn't like 17 as much
Such a knockoff of roy's death would have sucked big time. They even copied the pineapple theme! The episode's saving grace was the fact that Ozma actually survived.

Do you mean the elderly lady in the photo? It may be feasible... Macross Frontier takes place in 2059, while the events of Macross Zero take place in maybe 2010-2020 (depending really on how old Shin is.. I'm assuming in his twenties, as he was 5-10 when the Macross first hit Earth...) This would mean Mao, assuming she's in her teens during the time, would be in her mid-50's or 60's in 205x.
REALLY good catch there, though. I didn't notice it myself.

| I watched all 20 eps at this point...and I didn't like it all that much, the only reason I'm still watching is because I want to finish what I started, but I don't recommend it, unless your a big fan of the series, its not as good as the ones before. |

I m not a big fan but IMO its certainly better than Macross Zero and a few others. |

while i'm somewhat disappointed in the plot and characters (way too cliche), i've gotta admit that when they want to deliver some spectacular mecha battles they really can deliver.
that and seikan hikou by megumi nakajima is probably one of the catchiest songs i've heard in an anime since let me be with you (chobits) and kimi ni fuku kaze (full metal panic fumoffu). overall the music is all pretty amazing

Wow episode 24 had really awesome animation.
Anyway, i agree with other sentiments; the story isn't as good as I'd hoped, but i hope the last few episodes wrap up the series well. |
