Do you mean the elderly lady in the photo? It may be feasible... Macross Frontier takes place in 2059, while the events of Macross Zero take place in maybe 2010-2020 (depending really on how old Shin is.. I'm assuming in his twenties, as he was 5-10 when the Macross first hit Earth...) This would mean Mao, assuming she's in her teens during the time, would be in her mid-50's or 60's in 205x.

Wow, really good guess And, I guess depending on which subber you followed, it might have been a bit harder to catch on, although yeah by the last few episodes you definitely knew who Sheryl really was...
So does this mean Mao was killed with the 117th convoy?
What happened to the monster-class fighter? Did Macross Quarter pick her up after she took off from Battle Galaxy's gun?
Did anyone go "FUCK YEAHH" when Galaxy got completely pwned by Frontier? I thought it was pretty cool.
Was the guy that got blown up by the Ghost V9's that the Galaxy pumped out Alto's wing-man? (What happened to them anyways? He kind of abandons them halfway through when he gets into his SMS craft)
What's this "Judah" system? I totally didn't catch on to this...
I also think it's pretty amazing how Frontier somehow always has several hundred billion cruisers and destroyers each new battle. Same with the planes- you'd think that after ten minutes of watching the Vajra shotgunning them all in the face, there wouldn't be much left to shoot.

you have a really good point there with the planes but you have to understand, its not called "macross frontier" as most ppl assume but actually SUPER DIMENSIONAL FORTRESS Macross and it can't be super if it keeps losing planes, that's the worst way to be an ultimate force in the galaxy

i don't know if the Judah system came from the earlier macross series cause i only watched Macross, Macross Zero, and this and some parts of Macross Plus. Actually, it could have come from macross plus cause in that series they were experimenting with new VF's and one of them allowed a mental man-machine interface though it's all speculation. Regardless, its the same as those VF-09s right? the movement and body design looked similar to me.
oh and they really need to make an ova for this, i need to know who wins, ranka or sheryl. I've got a bet riding on this and i want my money.
i'm happy with the ending but there's a problem with this...code geass also ended and nogizaka haruka is closing this week too, tetsuwan birdy decode is doing the same thing so...
what the hell am i gonna watch now?

so its over... wow... all those visuals just left my jaw drop... can't say the same for the story though... seems like they totally rushed it... but somehow looking back I think this was the best way they could put it... I wish they could have given closure on which girl alto actually picked... i have this notion its that one girl... but yeah... _________________
