Wow, no love for this anime? I felt that this is one series that came out great in the end for the start of 2008. The last eps was just released. Go and get them!!! _________________

Well, I would show some love for it, if I had any idea whatsoever what exactly happened at the end of it. Its so confusing. After watching the last ep, I get the same feeling that I did watching Mai-Hime; A decent anime ruined by some ridiculously weird "happy ending" |

okay the ending was more than strange...
There were some pieces that didn't fit together and kinda made it a rather messy ending in my opinion =/
Did Hayami die and if she did, did she return as a spirit like Otoha or did she return in flesh and blood so that the "spirit council" decided to give her life again?
The ending was particular strange..
And who was the father to maki's child? grah.. doesn't make sense at all....
This show was really good untill, it started getting twisted, i guess they were in a rush and cut alot of the last episodes, they could have made the last 2 episodes 1 hour each or a little longer, since it seems they were cut in half. |

it was the "girl" that was shown almost immediately afterwards .. the one who was asked "you should dressing like that" .. i forgot his/her name .. but she is actually a "he" as it was shown when he/she took a bath with our main guy ...

yaaaaa it was really weird to me too .. i mean i was happy to see her alive (cause i was REALLY disappointed that she died) .. but the way they did .. it was like .. "ohhh we actually want her alive .. so let's just make her randomly appear" ...
but mehhhh it wasn't "horrible" .. just not memorable either .. = /

His name is Hamaji. That is why when they say that the baby has a haughty face, he sneezes in the next scene

I think they really wanted to make this a happy ending, so that is why they make her alive again in flesh and blood. One thing though about the ending: The ending song (Footprints in The Sand by Monet) really fits the scene perfectly, which I feel is the plus in the scene. It has been in my MP3 player for a while. This song is also the ED song of the erogame by the same title

Aye i agree.
She shouldn't have died in the first place, it just ended up completely stupid in terms of "whatever logic remained"... If she really is living by flesh and blood again, well that's great but else it was just a "ohhhh.... stupid.... sigh..." ending.
The song did however fit very well for a "comback" and her reappearance but with all that happend before, it was hard to think if it was flesh and blood or just air of imagination (spirit). If they had kissed or held each other in the end it would have been alot easier to see, or atleast believe that it was a true happy ending.
